My husband and I were very impressed by the work done by Groundworks on our thirty year old concrete that was in need of some tender loving care. We originally met Phil at the Home Show and made an appt with him to come out and inspect our property, then he worked up a full site plan on what they recommended to be repaired (so there would be no surprises). Phil then provided us with a comprehensive estimate of how much they would be charging for their service that comes with a three year annual service plan. A few weeks later, Hunter & Austin arrived first thing in the morning (they kindly gave us a courtesy call when they were half an hour away), and meticulously performed their magic by applying a process called poly renewal that completely evened out the concrete as promised. Then, they applied caulk crack repair that filled in all the old cracks on the driveway. We were amazed that they were completely done with our job by lunchtime. They did an excellent job and were very courteous and professional. This company has some very dedicated employees that take pride in their work so we highly recommend Groundworks!!

Time will tell for longevity, but we're happy. Engineer, Sean Wang, communicated everything quite clear and we understood what was going on. We needed more posts an the center beam of our house jacked up due to sagging. The three workers who came out, Mike Baines, Bryan Covell, and Brandon Pritt were all great. Very respectful of our property, really tried to keep everything neat and tidy. Answered all our questions along the way. Good job cleaning up. I love that they brought their own buckets (step up from other companies.) Again, all three installers of our new support posts were great and very polite. They did a great job from what we can tell.

My husband and I purchased a home only to find out after we closed that was literally falling down around us. After calling several companies and being told it was beyond the scope of what they could handle, we found Tar Heel. If I had only known then what I know now I would have saved myself so much time and stress and called Tar Heel FIRST. Paul, who came out originally, the Structural Engineer Bobbie and Ronnie the Project Manager were able to put a plan together to save our home. They genuinely treated our home like their own. The Foreman Gary Hacker and his Technicians Sam Jarvis and Dalton Brown who came out to do the work (along with Cory and Axel) were professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Awesome customer service! I worked with Bob Liga to get a quote for lifting some older concrete slabs. Super friendly. Very thorough and patient with all my questions. While I wasn't able to move forward with the project due to circumstances outside our control, Bob still made sure I understood their process and what was occurring both in- and outside my home. I needed to have both my porches stabilized due to settling so I called Alpha Foundations for a free estimate! Within a week Cody came out and did an inspection and was very friendly and answered any questions I had regarding what needed to be done. Within two weeks, Tory and William came to my house and stabilized both my porches within a couple of hours. Tory and William were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and did am amazing job. They even went above and beyond and cleaned my entire porches for me after they were finished. Kevin Sweeney did an inspection and estimate on several issues in my house including a damp wall in the basement and cracks in a house addition (same side of house). What he found and educated me on was profound. He made it all make sense. He showed me several videos with illustrations to show how the issues started, how they will progress, and what can be done to remedy. Kevin was extremely polite. He is courteous and kind to my kids who were underfoot. He spent a lot of time showing and explaining things to me, and even told me things that were NOT a big problem and how I could fix them (such as a squeaky floor). He clearly explained payment options and discounts available to me. He has been doing this for over 20 years and it shows in his professionalism.

Rhys was awesome! He took the time to show us what had been done by the previous owners to prevent water from coming into the basement. Water had come in when the radon company drilled down into the concrete. Rhys explained that there is likely still water under the house due to underground springs, thus water coming up through the pipe that’s supposed to pump out the radon. Rhys was knowledgeable and where he wasn’t sure he researched and did not make up an answer. Very ethical and very thorough! Thanks Rhys! 😄
