Thankfully my inspection revealed no foundation issues, Ed Macdonald from Foundation Recovery Systems was extremely helpful in identifying my problem and providing valuable guidance on how best to address it. In an era where unnecessary repairs and poor customer service are common, this was not the case with Foundation Recovery Systems, and Ed in particular. We had JES come out because we thought we had foundation issues and it was refreshing to know that there are still honest people out there. Christian Distler-Caravetta was the inspector that came to our house and he told us what we were seeing was normal and even though there were a few things would could address right now, he also said we can monitor them and compare photos of the areas in question in the future. He was very thorough in explaining what could and would be done depending on what we decided. He was very professional and I would recommend him and this company to anyone.

We had James Tobin come by and do up an estimate for my mum today. She has a brick wall that's been standing for over 40 years with no problems (house was built in the early 1960's), until a big new house was built next door. They excavated right to (even a little past in places) the property line where the foundation for this brick wall is. Once done the deep basement construction, they didn't properly tamp down the ground around this new house and as a result, there still are some significant slumping issues. Including this 40+ year old brick wall, which has now cracked and has developed a lean, which is getting worse almost daily. The developer and builder of this new house refused to take any responsibility. We've had a few bricklayers come and take a look and their recommendation has been to tear down the wall and rebuild, or even suggesting to make do with a wooden fence in its place. Mum (who's 85) has been quite upset through all this, especially being buffaloed by that builder. But, after the initial online contact form and some pre-appointment calls with Groundworks, along came James Tobin this morning and the weight of all this drama, has been, for the most part, lifted. James did an excellent job of explaining who Groundworks is and what they do, how they think they can alleviate the situation and gave a thorough explanation of the technology and process involved to achieve success. James was on-time, proficient, competent, understanding and friendly. Everything you could ask for when someone comes to your door to help solve a problem! Now, if only that #@$%@&> of a developer/builder had taken this path, we wouldn't be in this mess! But, there you go. So, if you ever find yourself needing the services of concrete lifting / remediation (and the like – they do a lot) company – do not hesitate in contacting Groundworks and ask for James Tobin specifically! You'll be glad that you did! We're very happy with his visit!

I called Alpha Foundations for a quote on a foundation stabilization repair. I met Chris B, who conducted the inspection. He was clear and concise with his evaluation and their price options, as well as financing options. Not even 2 weeks after the consultation, the permits were ready and work began. They sent a team of three (Steven, Isiah and David. The worked fast, hard and with efficiency. I couldn’t have asked for a better crew. It only took them the day (as they dig it all by hand due to my yard not being accessible). Upon completion a walk of the property was conducted, and even walking in my house felt different and more stable. If you need and foundation work done call Alpha Foundations TODAY!!!!
