I am having some issues with dampness in my basement. For two years I have tried to figure things out myself and have spent a lot of money with independent individuals without resolution to the problem. I decided that I was ready for professional help, even if it meant spending extra money because what I was doing was not working. I went online to the Groundwork’s website and was able to schedule a free consultation for the following day. Yes! It was that fast! Jesse Pitcock showed up and did a thorough analysis of the entire property. He was prompt and very professional. His experience and knowledge quickly put my concerns at ease and offered a solution that would enable us to confidently finish our basement for additional living space. We had work done last year by AFS and it exceeded our expectations. During our annual warranty inspection, it was discovered that we needed additional foundation supports. Yet again AFS exceeded our expectations. Yoni Morales and Alex Garcia were very professional. They completed the work quickly and cleaned up the work site when they were done. The job was way more awesome than I was expecting! The guys that showed up to do the job, Carter, and Joe, who I would rate as a 10 out of 10, were so professional, and very knowledgeable about their job. They were able to fix some of the worst cracks, and upheavals. There was a few that were as large as the Grand Canyon, and they nailed it. I just cant say enough about these two guys, they were so friendly, and respectful. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat, and tell them to send Carter, and Joe!!!! After contacting several companies regarding water seepage in our basement, Groundworks stood out as the only one to provide a truly thorough assessment. Other companies spent about 20 minutes before suggesting quick fixes, but James from Groundworks took the time to fully understand the issue, presenting a solution that addressed the root cause rather than just covering it up. James shared insights that the others missed, demonstrating a level of knowledge and expertise that far surpassed what we had seen elsewhere. There was no sales pressure, no scare tactics—just an honest presentation of the issue and a solution, leaving the decision entirely up to us. While we are not in a position to implement the solution right now, the issue is manageable for the time being. We plan to reconnect with James next year to revisit the proposal and hopefully move forward. Thank you to James for educating us on the real problem and for proposing a solution that truly considers our long-term needs.
