I’m really happy with the work and conduct of the JES team. I hired them to install 6 pilings to stabilize a garage I had built 4 years ago. They arrived on time, and sent me a text on both mornings when they arrived. The crew was led by Santos Cruz, who was pleasant to speak with and was knowledgeable about the work being done. He answered all of my questions before and during the process. His team consisted of David Allerdings, Lucas Batista, and Joseph Wooten. All of the guys were very tolerant of my two Dogs who occasionally were sniffing and barking around the job site. Even though several of the holes were 5+ feet deep, they did a great job keeping them close to the building in an attempt to not dig up more than needed. The finished job looked very good, and except for the loss of grass, looked almost untouched. Additionally they buried a downspout pipe that had been previously laid on top of the ground which was a nice touch to finish off the job.

I was extremely surprised! The original dehumidifier had been purchased from JES so I wanted to have them check it and provide an estimate for repairs or replacement. I already had a few other estimates and I told the representative there was no way I would be purchasing a new one from JES because I knew they were the top of the line in Virginia Beach and would be too expensive, so I hoped JES could repair it. The dehumidifier was 22 years old, and there were no replacement parts for the unit. JES really surprised me and came in with an estimate that was lower with a comparable unit to the other estimates! JES replaced the dehumidifier within hours on the same day and it was about $150.00 less from the next estimate. Professional, efficient and reasonably priced, (surprisingly!) Thank you!

Groundwork’s just completed repair on our sunken walkway and cracked driveway. We have lived in our house 27 years and our aggregate walkway sunk down from our driveway approximately 3 inches. It was becoming dangerous and a serious tripping hazard. They came out to look at it, scheduled us in, and were able to complete our repairs a week earlier than planned. They showed up on time and completed the work in the time they estimated. The workers were respectful and professional. The repair work was better than we expected. It was completely cleaned up, swept clean and perfect. We highly recommend Groundworks and will call them again for any future repairs.

I am very pleased with the service of Mount Valley foundations. My service men who are: William Cheek, Rashad Hayward and Aveion Jacobs did an excellent job. When they arrived here exactly on the time that they said they were going to be here I felt confident this was going to be a good experience. Mr. Cheek communicated with me throughout the whole process. After about 4 hours they were completed. He came inside my house and made sure everything was level as well as cleaned up their mess outside. He was very courteous and answered any questions that I had. If I have any other problems again, I will call Mount valley foundations.

I had my crawl space encapsulated and a support beam installed by FSM. Overall, the work was done well and my floor was level after the work they did. The only issue was the encapsulation of the sump pump and leveling of the dehumidifier. The original crew that came out put the dehumidifier of cardboard pieces from the box it came in rather than footings to keep it level. They also covered over our sump pumps completely which made then inaccessible and unable to function correctly so the sump actually overflowed and flooded the crawl space. I spoke with Amanda in the office who was so sweet, understanding, and efficient with getting another crew out to my home ASAP to fix the problem. Deshawn and Reggie came out and fixed the original issue, put the dehumidifier on risers to level it (had a laugh with me about the ridiculous state of it left by the original crew) and made sure to leave everything clean and tidy. They advised me on how to access everything in the future while maintaining the integrity of the encapsulation. The two of them really made sure I was happy with the end product.

This is a follow up to my prior review of Alpha Foundations. After reading my initial review, Alex (The General Manager) conctacted me to chat about my experience. I left the conversation with a better understanding of the initial inspection process and thoroughly impressed with the overall customer service of everyone I came into contact with at Alpha. From the sales team, field techs and management, my customer service experience was top notch. It's obvious to me that customer service and satisfaction is at the top of their priority list and it resonates througout the organization. Although I experienced a very minor issue with the initial diagnosis of the problems my property was having, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future and would recommend them to friends and family.

From the first contact with Christian to the final explanation with the crew (Brendon and Nick) it was seamless and professional. I also thought the pricing was very reasonable. Brendon and Nick did a great job! They even accommodated us on a kind of odd request. Since we had a giant hole in our floor, we asked them to leave it open so we could get a floor safe installed. They figured out what we needed and made it work! Great thinking on their feet! Almost makes me wish we had more foundation issues….Almost! I highly recommend Alpha Foundations!!

The work was all completed today, in one day on the date that we were told. We had a great experience with the initial inspection and presentation by Jeremy, the Sales Rep. Good communication followed and the permitting process brought two men to mark the lawn so the workers would know where all the utility lines and cables were located underground. Jordan and Hector were very professional in their repair of the driveway making sure our garage door closed properly again. … and they were appropriately friendly in the process. Shortly after their departure, Filipe arrived. With a nice smile he explained his role as inspector and I forgave him for being a NY Giants fan 🙂. Steven, David, and Isaiah showed up to do the hard labor, putting in the piers. Again they were both professional and friendly, taking the customer and their work very seriously. They were careful with the grass and where to place excess dirt which had been dug up. They worked well as a team and enjoyed showing me what they were doing and why. All in all, I would say they all valued the company (Alpha Foundations) for whom they worked and took appropriate pride in all that they did. I felt good about the finished product both in the pier foundation supports and the driveway repair.

My experience with Groundworks was great-they offered the exact service I was looking for (concrete lifting) in order to stop water from pooling on a big concrete slab so that I could avoid replacing or resurfacing. Michael, the certified field inspector, was friendly and thorough. The techs, Oscar, the foreman, and Ricardo (Rick), were polite, professional, detail oriented, and good communicators. Jeff Garber from Groundworks/Underpinning was AMAZING! Let me just start off by saying, we did not pay anything for our walkthrough/inspection. I’ve been a realtor for 18 years but this was for our personal property in Walnut Creek and I was extremely worried we were going to hear from Jeff that we need to do six figures worth of work. We have experienced some shifting in our floors, walls, thresholds and I was CONVINCED we needed major repairs. However, Jeff brought us a huge sense of relief by not only telling us we didn’t need any major repairs and what we were experiencing was normal for our age home. From my extensive experience working with vendors, they almost always push some sort of work, unnecessary or necessary. I can’t thank Jeff enough for his honest evaluation and helping me sleep at night again after 2 years of what felt like constant worry. It just goes to show, there are still good people with values out there. And, I can tell you when that time does come, he will be our first call!!! Jeff thank you for your true professionalism!!

Eval & quote in Decatur, IN – I have been having foundation issues for years. I hired one company to come and waterproof and provide a solution. Well, the results haven't lasted as long as I wanted them to. So after researching companies, I contacted Groundworks. Amy Volka showed up at my door, on time for my evaluation. I have mobility issues so she let me know that there was a pipe leaking which I appreciated. She did a thorough exam of outside and inside. We talked for a long time about her findings. She showed me some educational videos and info on her laptop. She explained what I would need to create the best result, what I would need to handle before they come start working, lots of details. Amy was very detailed with the information. She drew up a plan on her laptop in her vehicle. 10-15 minutes later she could show me the 10 page detailed contract. I liked that they have inhouse engineers & permit department. I like that if I sell my house, the lifetime warranty for work can transfer to the next owner. I signed because the details were so great and thorough. She even mentioned that they do sidewalk leveling so I jumped on that too before anyone gets hurt on my sidewalks. I gave her a down payment check which she was willing to hold until I transferred the funds. We have been checking in with each other on fund transfer, my required updates progress, and she got me a 2 week start date. I have been thoroughly impressed with Amy and the company. Amy helped ease my anxiety and worry about my foundation and gave me faith in a more permanent solution.

He stayed late to ensure no small details where missed in his report. While the quote was too high for us at this time, Derek gifted us with advice on how to monitor our situation. We had a fairly large project completed by Groundworks. The team that worked on our house (Rene Renteria, Manuel Garcia and Lu Khin) were very professional and communicative (even our neighbors were loved them). They exceeded our expectations with their work and craftsmanship. We had several piers, beams and wall anchors put in. Rene explained everything going on each day. They worked late to get the job done. They cleaned up. They were awesome!!! Having met with and looked into a couple of other companies, it was an easy decision to go with them – and it paid off. We were given time to consider different options (not every company affords you this time …and with a big project and financial investment, we appreciated that time). They also have the best financing options we could find.

I meet with Mike C. to obtain a quote to address water leakage into the basement from rain and foundation issues caused by years of water inundation. Also, to get a quote to seal up the crawl space. (The house has a half-basement.) He arrived early in a clean company vehicle and in uniform. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and down-to-earth. His inspection of the areas of concern took some time because he was so very thorough. Once completed with the inspection, he presented various options, and we discussed each option. Seems his concern was more about what was best for my situation rather than profit. I really appreciated that. I predict the construction phase will be very good; based upon the interaction with Mike C.

We had 3 different areas of concern. A driveway apron that was sinking, the front steps that were sinking and a crack in the front porch due to settling. The driveway and the steps were done by Brandon he had the job of putting the hydraulic cement under the driveway and steps. He was polite and courteous and definitely knew what he was doing. We had some other areas of concern with the walkway leading to the front door, which we had planned to do. However, after talking with him we re-evaluated the situation and decided replacing the sections of the sidewalk would be a better option. (this is something they don't do) His honest evaluation of the job was greatly appreciated. The front porch was done by Clint and his crew. They did a really great job, protecting the surrounding areas as they dug the holes to place the supports under the porch. When they were finished, they put everything back the way it was. You couldn't tell they were there. All the people I dealt with at Alpha Foundations are first rate if you need this type of work give them a call.
