We had our crawlspace encapsulated by AquaGuard because of serious drainage issues 5 1/2 years ago. Everything went well at the time – they were courteous, responsive, and professional, and we were very happy with the work that was done. But what most people want to know when they pay for a big job like this is whether it’s going to hold up in the long run. Recently we’ve had to do some other unrelated work that has required multiple contractors to go into our crawlspace again. Every single one of them has commented on how great our crawlspace still looks. I think that really speaks volumes to the true quality of the work, that even after 5 1/2 years it still looks like it was done just a few months ago. We haven’t had a single drainage issue with our foundation since then, and if I ever need work like this done again, AquaGuard is the only company I would even consider calling.

To when the repair crew, Hunter and Jones, came out and Hunter went over what they’re we’re going to do to repair the slab. I was amazing how precise they were in lifting the stab and continually cleaning up after themselves. When they were finished, Hunter and I went through checking all the door alignments and that I’m getting good air flow through all my HVAC vents. I think for the first time since I bought the house 15 years ago all my doors are open and closing correctly now. I had AFS look at a foundation issue I had at my home. Tommy came out and examined the house and told me what needed to be done and what didn’t the house didn’t need. I was quoted a very fair price! After signing the contract the work was scheduled for the following week: the installation of two helical piers. Cesar, Miguel and Juan, the installation crew, arrived on time and completed the work in a day. They explained everything they were doing and were patient with my questions. We recently purchased a home in San Jose. In the report it stated that our home was fine and no foundation issues were noted. Upon moving in my wife noticed some cracks started to appear on the walls around the house. We contacted Bay Area underpinning to have them come and inspect our house. A couple of days before our appointment, Jim Rivera gave us a call to confirm the day and time of the appointment. This was the first positive experience we had with Jim and BAU. On the day of the appointment Jim called to let us know that he was 30 minutes away and showed up right on time. Once he arrived he listened to the issues we were noticing and then he went to work. He brought in some hi-tek tools and explained to us what the readings meant. Jim was extremely thorough and personable. He clearly has a lot of knowledge and showed us a bunch of photos that he took while he was in our crawlspace as well as photos of some exterior things that he noticed. Overall he said our home was in great condition with only minimal issues that we should address. He was very patient in answering all of our questions and provided us with a quote when he was finished. We were pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable and comes with a lifetime warranty. We will be giving our business to Jim and Bay Area Underpinning. As a new home owner we were terrified of what the cost could be to fix our home. Jim really helped us understand what was going on and we would suggest that anyone who is having similar foundation issues like ours, we highly recommend that you should call Jim Rivera and Bay Area Underpinning.

Kolden Kicklighter came to our house to inspect our crawl space. He showed us videos of the area, several moisture readings and pictures of our floor joists. He presented two options for encapsulating the crawl space that will permanently solve our moisture problems and prevent future foundation problems. Kolden was very prepared, very knowledgeable, very thorough and VERY professional. We were quite impressed. We got a 2nd quote that was considerably more and didn't provide the materials and warranty Mount Valley offers. We are sure we'll be pleased with Mount Valley.

The price was not cheap, but considering the extent of the repairs and the solution it was acceptable. A deposit was made and the next day a date was locked in. Josh called on his way to the house got here at the earliest time in the window of time given to us by the company that he would arrive. Came right in was very pleasant knowledgeable and got to the route of the problem. Not only did he fix the seal on the leaking toilet but also noticed a bigger problem and called a water remediation company while at our house to come out right away to access and potentially remediate any problems we have with that! Very professional and helpful and quite concerned about doing the right thing! We couldn’t be more satisfied!

I want a give a shout out to the best crew of workers we’ve had the pleasure of having do work for us!! The crew lead was Clem, who made a very stressful time for us very bearable. His pleasant and upbeat personality set the tone but he made sure we understood every step that was taken to provide protection to our foundation and mitigate any potential problems. He never asked his men to do anything he wasn’t willing to do himself. Garret, Nick, Ray and Warren were so pleasant, polite and hardworking! They were literally running up and down the stairs carrying buckets of cement. They cleaned up daily and were a joy to have. We would highly recommend them and Groundworks to anyone!

I took on some water in my mechanical room and I wanted to get the folks at Grroundworks to take a look. I wanted to make sure that mold and mildew weren't having a sex party in my basement. Patrick came out and did a full inspection of the outer foundation of my home and assessed the state of my basement. He was happy to report that I had no issues, however, he still took the time to mitigate my concerns and gave me some tips on how I can continue to keep my house/home in tip top shape. Shape. Nobody wants to hear their home is in deep trouble. But groundworks are the people you should talk to every step of the way because they will do the job right, fix it the first time and make sure stuff like this doesn't happen again. I couldn't be more satisfied than I am with Tar Heel Basement Systems. The crews ( Led by Gus J, Anthony M, Felipe L and Javana) were amazing. I enjoyed meeting them, young people so professional, and down to earth (no pun intended). Everything promised prior to service was delivered; I was really impressed by the way we were taught about the process before it began. The price was less than we thought it would be, after we listed the things we wanted done. The really great thing is that the foundation of our old home is stable for years to come. A warranty will carry over to the next homeowners after we eventually sell. It is nice to know we have an old house with a new foundation support system, including state of the art crawlspace- all under warranty-that we will pass on to the next family who lives here! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

He was straight forward and honest with me and I found out that the repair I needed was a lot less extensive than I originally thought it was going to be. What can I say about my experience with the team. Chris Boyd did a comprehensive inspection, including crawling around in my crawlspace (and even brought me up the hammer I had left down there a couple months earlier). Daniel Mages and Scott Worthington were the technicians who did the concrete lift to my driveway and sidewalk sections. They showed up on time as scheduled (even provided me a courtesy call first to let me know when they would be arriving). The concrete lift and stabilization work was professional, and the sealing of the joints they did look amazing. I only wish I had taken the initiative to have the work done sooner. Thank you.

We called Mount Valley last Friday to get an estimate on some foundation repairs that have gotten progressively worse. They scheduled an appointment that day for Wednesday of next week. Dino Rhoads was the technician who came to assess the issue. He called to let me know exactly when he would be arriving. He was very considerate and polite and had a vast amount of knowledge. The assessment took several hours and I was amazed at how thorough he was in getting exact details so that he could best create a plan for us. When he finished looking at, around, and under the house, we sat for at least an hour where he shared pictures of what he saw and explained in detail what they indicated. I never got the feeling like he was trying to sell me anything that I didn't specifically ask for and need. Dino showed excellent professionalism, and an exceptional knowledge of our situation and the best ways to remedy them. I'm very impressed! I would absolutely recommend their services! And, ask for Dino!

I requested a free estimate of how much it would cost to re-level our brick patio that had began settling years ago due to a failed retaining wall. This wall was replaced last year, hence the desire to do the brick/concrete slab leveling using Bay Area Underpinning's Polyrenewal process that can literally raise a slab. The certified field inspector, Chance Danner, was very thorough in his evaluation of what was needed, and the entire presentation was well organized, clearly laid out, professional and the pricing was reasonable. Chance explained how they would do the job in our patio, and backed it up with visuals on their Polyrenewal system. Although we decided to wait to do the job until after we took care of several other major projects, we would definitely recommend Bay Area Underpinning to anyone.

I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, but I have never had a better experience than I had with Baker's Waterproofing. We had water leaking into our basement from the floor due to hydrostatic pressure. Steve Cahl, our salesman did a thorough inspection and gave us a detailed explanation with a video of what was causing the problem was how Baker's would fix it. After we agreed on the contract, he told us what to expect, the date the job would begin, what time the craftsmen would show up, and how long the project would take. Everything he said was true. Their communication leading up to and during the job was exceptional. Steve always returned my calls immediately when I had questions. The gentlemen who did the work – Tyler Barnhart (foreman), Joey Pickard, and Brandon Miller were incredibly polite, pleasant and unbelievably hard working.Tyler called me the day before, and each morning to let me know what time they would arrive. They not only showed up on time, they were early both days! The job was finished in a day and a half. Their expertise was clearly evident in the quality and timeliness of their work. I had some settling issues with my foundation, and Jacob from FSS did a thorough evaluation of the problem. I had already had six different companies come by, so I was getting familiar with the routine. What impressed me about the FSS solution was that they could actually stabilize the foundation, putting it on piers that would not shift in the future, unlike the other companies. When the installation crew arrived (Thomas, Timothy and Kennen), they brought along some really impressive galvanized steel hardware. The installation crew was clean and very meticulous about the details, making sure everything was installed correctly. After the foundation was stabilized and leveled, another crew came to do a polyfoam injection under the foundation to fill the air gap left by leveling the foundation. This way the entire foundation is supported, and not resting just on the edges. Overall, I was very pleased with the work. They were certainly not the cheapest, but then, you often get what you pay for.

Recently purchased a commercial grade dehumidifier from FRS and had it installed in our crawl space. Timber was very knowledgeable about the product and size of unit we needed. The installation crew arrived on time and made a modification to the wooden frame of our crawl space entrance to enable the unit to fit through the opening and be properly installed. A few months later, Timber stopped by to check on things to be certain that the unit was functioning properly and that there was no kink in the drain hose or anything. As a result, the crawl space is bone dry despite the high temperatures and humidity we have had this summer. The unit is doing what it is designed to do. We are very satisfied with Foundation Recovery Systems and recommend their services.
