Groundworks Donates $100,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Employees completed more than 1.8 million pushups to fight childhood cancer

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Jan. 6, 2023) – Groundworks^®, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company, has donated $100,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital after over 600 employees completed the 3,000 Pushups in December Challenge. Employees across the country voluntarily accepted the challenge to complete thousands of pushups from December 1 through December 31. The funds donated directly support St. Jude’s mission to ensure families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, and food when being treated for pediatric cancer.

“The holiday season is the season of giving, and we felt the Pushup Challenge was a meaningful way for our team to give back and impact the lives of thousands of children and their families who suffer from childhood cancer,” said Matt Malone, founder and chief executive officer at Groundworks. “We want to help St. Jude and its mission to find cures to childhood cancer, and the fact that children are treated for free, and families can be with their loved ones with all their expenses covered is what this season of giving is all about. Helping one another.”

This initiative is part of the company’s ‘Goodworks’ program where employees are encouraged to give back to their local communities through non-profit partnerships and volunteerism. This specific challenge aligned with the company’s mission, highlighting the importance of health and wellness for the participants. In 2022, Groundworks participated in several initiatives, including partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army.
