Why your neighbors trust Groundworks
We've earned 459 five star reviews.
"I wanted to write a review because I’ve had multiple companies come out and do similar work, and Groundworks has by far done the best job. There were two guys in particular Ethan and Seth who did an amazing job. It seemed like Seth was training Ethan, and everything went smoothly; the finished work looks beyond perfect. Seth was very knowledgeable and clearly knew what he was doing, and Ethan was friendly and seemed to be learning quickly and retaining a lot of information. I did ask who the main crew lead was, and he wasn’t on-site most of the time. When he was there briefly, my wife mentioned he was often on his phone, so I’m not entirely sure of his involvement. From what we saw, Seth appeared to be the one really running the job. My wife even mentioned wanting Seth & Ethan back for future work, but I’d be hesitant to have the same crew again if the main lead continues to be absent most of the time and making outside life on his phone more important than work itself. That said, Seth and Ethan were outstanding, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have work done. I’ve already referred a few friends to ask for them specifically at Groundworks in SeaTac. Thank you, Seth and Ethan, for your hard work and professionalism we truly appreciate it!"
Common Causes of your Basement Problems in Federal Way
Noticing your basement walls showing signs of stress or moisture seeping in? The unique climate and soil conditions around Federal Way can contribute to these basement issues. The area is known for fluctuating moisture levels, particularly during rainy seasons, which can impact soil behavior. This soil expands and contracts with changes in moisture, a process known as soil heave, which can exert pressure on basement walls. Homes in several neighborhoods might also experience the effects of groundwater levels that tend to rise, affecting the stability of foundations over time. These environmental factors are part of why basements in this region may develop problems over the years.
The effects of these natural conditions can lead to stress on your basement's structure. As soil expands, it pushes against basement walls, potentially leading to cracks and allowing water to seep in. Uneven floors and walls, sticky doors, and pooling water are common indicators of an underlying issue. Catching these signs early is crucial because even minor water intrusion can lead to significant moisture-related damage, which could compromise the integrity of your home. Addressing such problems promptly helps safeguard against further deterioration, preserving the value and safety of houses in this region. Understanding these potential issues is key to maintaining a healthy, stable living environment in Federal Way.
