Groundworks – Fargo Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity

The Groundworks – Fargo (formerly Innovative Basement Authority) team is getting their hands dirty with Habitat for Humanity. As part of the companywide Build Together 2023 initiative, IBA employees assisted in home builds in their local communities. 

Groundworks® donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity International to support long-term stability through safe and affordable housing. The partnership is part of the Goodworks by Groundworks program that encourages employees to volunteer. 4,500 employees across the country will have the opportunity to volunteer with local Habitat chapters this year.

Team members in Groundworks – Fargo partnered with Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a deserving family who will move in this February. 13 employees helped install the home’s framing and new windows on the second floor. Groundworks – Fargo General Manager Jason Kratcha joked, “We’re out of our comfort zone. We’re above grade today!” 

Their efforts were featured on numerous local news outlets and publications, including KVRR (FOX), WDAY (ABC), and The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead.
