Groundworks – Rush City Completes Push-Up Challenge for Pediatric Cancer

The Groundworks – Rush City (formerly Innovative Basement Authority) team pushed themselves to support children and families affected by pediatric cancer. As part of the ‘Goodworks by Groundworks’ program, over 600 employees participated in the 3,000 Push-ups Challenge throughout the month of December, resulting in a whopping $100,000 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The challenge, which required employees to complete 100 push-ups a day, was initiated by Matt Malone, CEO of Groundworks. Employees at Groundworks – Rush City and other locations across the country enthusiastically took up the challenge, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

The ‘Goodworks’ program is a key initiative at Groundworks – Rush City, where employees are encouraged to participate in non-profit partnerships and volunteerism to give back to their local communities. In addition to the push-up challenge, Groundworks – Rush City employees will be getting their hands dirty with Habitat for Humanity later this year to participate in home builds.
