Groundworks Teams Up With Local Tourism for Running of the Wools
Event Recap: A Woolly Wonderful Weekend
Groundworks’ Pittsburgh team, formerly Baker’s Waterproofing, was proud to sponsor the 2025 Running of the Wools, held on May 3, 2025, in the heart of Downtown Washington, PA. This lively celebration recognized the city’s deep agricultural roots dating back to the 19th century, when Washington was the nation’s top wool exporter.
We joined the community as proud participants with our very own racing sheep named “Fleece Lightning!” In honor of our branch’s 50th year in business, event organizers generously created a commemorative banner, an unforgettable moment for our team.
Throughout the event, we engaged with local families and visitors at our booth, building connections and learning more about the vibrant people we serve every day. It was a meaningful way to showcase our commitment to the region and to meet others who care deeply about preserving Washington’s history and future.
