Event Recap: Supporting Early Literacy

Groundworks sponsored the annual Books Between Kids Book Bash on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Bell Tower on 34th in Houston, TX. The event supported Books Between Kids, a Houston-based nonprofit that collects and distributes books to children across the city. 

With the theme “Welcome to the Jungle,” the fundraiser united donors and community partners in a fun, engaging celebration of literacy. Groundworks team members supported the mission by raising awareness and promoting access to books for local children.

Books Between Kids has been helping Houston-area children build home libraries since 2012. The success of the 2025 Book Bash highlights the importance of community involvement in bridging literacy gaps.
