Home Repair Specialists in Mobile
Locations like Mobile, Daphne, Dothan, and Fairhope – situated in Alabama’s Coastal Pian – boast a large quantity of the state soil, Bama. This soil is a sandy loam that drains well, so as a homeowner in the area, you shouldn’t have to worry about hydrostatic pressure and its effects on your foundation as much. However, your foundation can succumb to damage.
Given the region’s mild subtropical climate, the humidity, and the various yearly tropical storms, your crawl space, foundation, or basement is up against a lot of saturated soil, at least during the wettest season of the year near the end of summer. Water vapor can easily permeate through the walls and increase the humidity of your below-grade areas like a crawl space. The longer it goes on, the worse it gets for your foundation. Concrete cracking and settling also is extremely common in Mobile and surrounding areas because of the soil. Because of how poorly Bama soil holds together, any consistent flow of water is able to carry away the topsoil and lead to erosion.
Does uneven concrete, wall cracks, and a humid or flooding crawl space or basement sound familiar? Homeowners just like you around Mobile experience these issues all too frequently, but the expert team at AFS can help with permanent foundation, crawl space, basement, and concrete repair solutions. We are familiar with the area’s homes and their problems, and we know what it takes to protect your home.

Motherson Electroplating US LLC says: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We couldn’t be happier with the outstanding service we received from AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists. From start to finish, their commitment to customer satisfaction was nothing short of exceptional. The entire process—from the initial quote to scheduling and execution—was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. The team was incredibly professional, hardworking, and kind, tackling every aspect of the job with care and precision. They went above and beyond to ensure the work was done perfectly, leaving us completely confident in the results. What truly stood out was their unwavering dedication and attention to detail. The technicians worked tirelessly, treating our project as if it were their own. Their expertise and determination were evident in every step, and their incredible work ethic was second to none. AFS successfully leveled the concrete pad supporting an oil-filled transformer weighing approximately 8,000 lbs. with six helical piers, and they raised our loading ramp driveway by 3" using foam. Both projects were completed flawlessly. If you're looking for a company that takes pride in their work and values their customers, AFS is the clear choice. Their professionalism, precision, and top-tier customer service are unmatched. We highly recommend them and will absolutely turn to them for future projects!

David, Bobby and Jesus were great. These gentlemen were on time and extremely friendly. They explained every step of the process just showing how knowledgeable they were. They even cleaned up behind themselves besides the obvious signs of digging you can’t tell anything was done. I appreciate their attention to detail and them teaching me something new. Thanks guys. If I ever need work again only send them.

David, Bobby, and Jesus did a wonderful job! They communicated well what they were doing throughout the day and were very conscientious. They had to remove a lot of soil, but they were careful not to disturb other areas of the yard with the machinery. They were also meticulous in their cleanup. Thank you for a job well done!

My scheduled appointment with Cameron Goodrich from the Mobile, AL. branch was for 12:00 noon, and before the time of the appointment, I received a phone call from Cameron, who stated that he had finished early on another job in the area and wanted to see if I would like to have him come out sooner. I was very pleased to hear that and I was accommodating. Once Cameron arrived, he introduced himself and we sat down to go over the entire process of what the inspection was going to entail. Cameron was very professional, knowledgeable of the job, and a very polite man. After going over the process, Cameron asked if there were any questions I had for him or concerns I have noticed since the install. I did go over a couple of things that were noticed and I was reassured all would be investigated and corrected within the companys ability (Meaning anything outside of what they can do, wont be able to be done which, makes perfect sense). The process of measuring, analyzing, and making a
