The Solution

Polymer was injected to stabilize the subgrade and lift the ramp back to level

The solution involved using polymer, a high-performance injection material, to compress and densify the subgrade beneath the ramp. This process effectively stabilized the foundation, filling voids and reinforcing the soil structure. By injecting the polymer beneath the settled slab, the material expanded and hardened, lifting the ramp back to its original level while providing long-term support. The use of polymer not only restored the ramp’s functionality but also minimized disruption, offering a cost-effective, non-invasive alternative to slab replacement.

The Impact

Injection method lifts and levels slab, avoiding costly replacement

The project significantly mitigated the need for costly slab removal and replacement by utilizing injection methods. Within just 15 minutes of the injections, the slab was fully ready for use.
