Why your neighbors trust Alpha Foundations

We've earned 1,306 five star reviews.

"Alpha Foundations did a great job earlier this week on providing outdoor foundation support with piers and indoor support with injected poly under the slab. We found all of the workers very professional and speedy while still being willing to stop and answer any questions. Dylan, Chris and Caleem handled the outside. These guys jumped into the job. Caleem dug out the initial holes and he was an incredibly hard worker throughout the day (with the most manual job). Chris placed the piers and Dylan ran the crew and the equipment. Dylan also answered all my wife’s questions with patience and politeness. Jonathan and Adam arrived about 30 minutes later and started on the inside. They didn’t break a single tile by drilling through the grout. The carpet had to be cut, but that was expected. They made as little mess as possible and cleaned up like their mother was watching. We were warned that it would be dusty so we covered lots of furniture, but the mess was localized and cleaned up by Jonathan and Adam. I’ve already recommended Alpha Foundations to a friend and will again when given the opportunity."

Common Causes of your Foundation Problems in Daytona Beach

Have you ever wondered why your foundation seems to shift or crack over time? In Daytona Beach, the combination of sandy soils and high humidity plays a significant role in impacting home foundations. Local soil types, which are mostly sandy and less compact than clay, allow water to seep through quickly. This characteristic, combined with seasonal rain patterns and tropical storms, leads to changes in soil moisture levels. As soils become saturated or dry out, they expand or contract, causing shifts beneath your home. This natural cycle, common in coastal areas, makes understanding your soil conditions crucial to maintaining a solid foundation.

These environmental dynamics impose stress on homes, potentially leading to early signs of foundation issues such as wall cracks or uneven floors. As the ground shifts, it can lead to misaligned doors and windows, as well as pooling water in crawl spaces or basements. Dampness or moisture accumulation is a common problem, particularly post-rainfall, where it may settle around the perimeter of your property. Catching these symptoms early is vital, as they can worsen and result in more severe structural damages. Being informed about the interaction between regional soil and moisture is the first step toward preserving the structural integrity of your home.
