I need to apologize to Gavin and Jonathan for not writting this review soon enough, I simply got tied up and forgot until I found the review form. I do hope they can still win any company benefits because they were the best workings I have talked to in a ling time. Informative of the steps, respectful and careful of my property and of course doing the job quicker than I could get pictures of it. And unfortunately I cant recall the Project Managers name, but his card is here on my desk somewhere, and he was very helpful on working with me on raising my porch. A previous company told me they had a minimal cost of $1,500 for the foam injections, where AFS did the whole job for a little over that amount as they do so much, they have no minimal charge. He also told me the 3 jacks I had been quoted by other services was not needed (I knew that, but he confirmed my knowledge and earned my respect by telling me the truth). So hopefully all 3 will win any company benefits for this, I very seldom give 5 stars, only when a company fully exceeds my expectations. At least now I do not have to worry about my porch falling into the abyss.

Although I ultimately chose not to move forward with them, Bradley Cooper (even though he was not the real actor) was thorough and professional. The contractor arrived on time, was friendly, and took the time to explain the details of what they found. He was knowledgeable and transparent, providing insights and answering all my questions. We had a lovely free inspection with Chris Routten today. He was scheduled for 90 minutes to diagnose an issue with water leaking in our basement and we ended up taking 3 hours of his time! He was so thorough, finding some additional weak spots for us. He provided a solution to our current issue, as well as options we were interested to hear regarding some longer term fixes. The most relieving part is he was not super “salesy” – so I felt I could make the right decision for work to do now versus later. Highly recommend.

He showed me how they can keep it that way for years to come by installing various drainage options, subterraneous pumps, vapor barriers & even dehumidifiers. The crew was professional and outstanding. The work was done in timely fashion, photos were provided for before and after. We walked the house perimeter together to address any questions I had. In addition to doing quality work, they went out of their way to be kind and helpful to my elderly mother. My dog escaped the yard while they were there – definitely not the crews fault. The crew lead walked with my mother to retrieve the dog so that she wouldn't risk falling. In my opinion that spoke volumes about character!!! I will be sure to recommend Groundworks to anyone I know needing foundation repair or raising.

My Service Tech Matthew K did an awesome job identifying the problem (water seepage) and finding a way to address it without breaking the bank (a sump pump system). The foreman Grace H and her team were able to come out just a week or two after I scheduled the work, and they were fantastic to work with — on time, professional, friendly, and very patient even though I had a lot of questions. I would definitely recommend Tar Heel — I feel like this is one of the best investments I've made in my home.

I recently had my crawlspace encapsulated by AFS, and their team did a fantastic job. The team quoting the job spent a good 2 hrs inspecting and reviewing the options. Then they sent Evan, Aldo, and Jorge to do the install. These guys knocked it out in a day and half, and did it with a great fun loving attitude. It looks beautiful under the house, water is draining to the sump pump, dehumidifier is keeping everything nice and dry. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything neat and tidy.

We had a great experience with Mt. Valley! They did what they said they would do. Andy and his team (Ryan, Darrian, Tanjier) arrived right on time both days, worked hard, cleaned up the site and we hardly new they were there except for a little banging around under the house. We could already tell a big difference by the end of day 1, and they completed in only 2 days. Andy walked with us through the house as final leveling adjustments were made and addressed our concern locations. Very satisfied customers!

The guys from Groundworks, Mark the forman and his crew Robert, Ruben, Daniel M. Kamani C. Trae H. and Marques installed a basement gutter system in our Plenum. Given that it is a 2 foot deep, at best, basement with no room to use conventional jackhammering equipment, the job was quite challenging for the guys. They showed up every day on time and work hard throughout the day with no complaining that was conveyed to me. They were all very professional and friendly and a pleasure to have in our home.

My first great impression came from my phone call to see about scheduling an appointment. The young lady answered the phone right before 5 on a Friday and then scheduled a time the very next morning to have a rep come out. Mack Suits was the first man out to take a look at our home. I was impressed that he was willing to show up on a Saturday. The man is a top notch pro! Without hesitation, he crawled into very tight crawl space like a groundhog, took pics and showed me exactly what the problems were, then presented his plan to fix it. The following week Taylor Fox, David Ennis and Leuri Fraire showed up right on time as scheduled. All pros as well. They were very considerate of our home and did great work for what I consider a very fair price. I could not recommend AFS highly enough!

Our finished basement became flooded with ground water. It was bad. We were walking in PUDDLES of water throughout the basement. A family member who is a contractor for home improvements recommended Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) Sara who works for them came to evaluate our basement issues. She fully explained the issue and the process to eliminate it. She discovered this was not a new issue for us as we found mold behind the drywall. The working crew of Tracen, Daniel, Ciadne, and Dryck all were extremely professional and answered all our questions. As we do not have an outside door from our basement, they had to hand carry all the equipment, supplies and old concrete up the basement stairs and out of the house. They did everything possible to mitigate the construction mess from laying drop cloths to putting up plastic curtains. The process for us was quick and efficient. They cleaned up all the construction mess and more. We are extremely pleased with the end product and looking forward to reclaiming our basement as living and storage space. Thank you OBA who not only fixed the issue but really addressed a potential health issue for our family! 10/10. The warranty on the work is good for the lifetime of the house.
