I would like to share my positive experience with Groundworks. Logan, the field representative for Groundworks set up an appointment and was thorough about how the process worked and the expectations and a timeline. In all cases throughout the process he was on time. He knew what he was doing and he knew the process for this type of work to be done to foundation. Real estate assets are very critical in our day and age and it could be distressing seeing the foundation. The very structure of your asset potentially cause massive damage to the whole structure. It was reassuring knowing that the representative Logan knew the process and knew what was required to fix my particular situation. I highly recommend Logan and the groundworks staff and company.

I had a positive experience with Groundworks, a company recommended by our general contractor, Archive. Their field inspector, Jamie Tobin, visited our home and left a great impression. Jamie was friendly and informative throughout the inspection. He took careful measurements of our house and patiently answered all our questions and concerns. His thorough approach was appreciated and helped us understand the process better. Our initial impressions of Groundworks are quite positive. Based on what we've seen so far, we're hopeful about working with them more in the future. They seem to have the experience necessary to address our home's foundational issues effectively. Overall, we're optimistic about Groundworks' ability to help with our project and appreciate the professionalism shown by their team, especially Jamie.

I needed push piers to stabilize my home's foundation, and after getting several quotes, I chose Groundworks. Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits–for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent–very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great–he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

David, Bobby, Jose and Jacob got started in rain that progressed with lightning. They took a break, only till the lightning subsided and got back to work. Shortly after the crew started working, we all had a very real scare. The lone gas company technician working on my gas meter, encounted a meter malfunction and a main gas line break occurred. The AFS crew alerted us to the danger and insisted we get out of our house and to safe distance. These men never faltered, never flinched and showed such care and concern for us. After the gas line was capped, and we got an "all clear" to resume work, the guys got started. Now, about their work. Exceedingly above all expectations is my comment. They leveled and stabilized my foundation consisting of 10 piers. They explained everything as the job progressed and made sure I understood and approved of their work. Quick and patient, to answer questions. They took great care to not disturb plants, or termite traps. They cleaned up after themselves, and got the job completed in 1 day. I realize this is a long review, but considering everything, from the weather, to the gas main leak, these men deserve all accolades I can give them.

Mark and Donald Dykes were great. Good work and communication. The company however is very unprofessional. Every. Worker they sent out said that the previous worker did the install incorrectly. And then they charged me for the fixes. This is what I ended up with in the middle of my room. Styrofoam on the bottom, tape over the top. It’s huge!! I never would have paid in excess of 15,000$ if I had know that it would take over a year to finish the job and that this is the result.

I couldn't be more satisfied than I am with Tar Heel Basement Systems. The crews ( Led by Gus J, Anthony M, Felipe L and Javana) were amazing. I enjoyed meeting them, young people so professional, and down to earth (no pun intended). Everything promised prior to service was delivered; I was really impressed by the way we were taught about the process before it began. The price was less than we thought it would be, after we listed the things we wanted done. The really great thing is that the foundation of our old home is stable for years to come. A warranty will carry over to the next homeowners after we eventually sell. It is nice to know we have an old house with a new foundation support system, including state of the art crawlspace- all under warranty-that we will pass on to the next family who lives here! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
