"I have had several jobs done by this company. When they say that customer satisfaction is their priority, they mean it. The first job was a waterproofing for my basement, which has worked flawlessly thus far after nearly 4 years.
The most recent job is much more complicated. I got a battery backup sump pump and crawl space encapsulation. It was actually fairly poorly done, and there was a flood in my basement a couple of days later, ironically, as well as a lot of water damage in my laundry room amongst a few other things. I reached out to them about it and spoke with Field Supervisor Levi, and GM Joe Manion, who are both spectacular men to interact with in a situation like this. They were both kind and understanding of the difficult time I was having. They not only fixed the issues the last crew didn't complete or didn't do well, but they also made up for it by offering either a discount on my job or the option of additional work done.
I chose to get some additional work done as I needed it anyway, and the experience was as fantastic as I am used to from this company. The crew they sent out to do my basement egress window were superb, and the foreman was more than accommodating and polite the entire time. I really wish I could remember the foreman's name. You can tell he really cares about his crew, his customer, and is very skilled at his job. Overall, I am very happy with not only the quality of work out of this company, but also the lengths they will go to make things right for a customer. I will absolutely use them again if I ever need any more work that they provide!"
Common Causes of your Crawl Space Problems in Blacklick
Ever wondered why crawl spaces in your home might develop issues? It boils down to the environmental conditions typical of a region like Blacklick. The soil here often experiences various moisture levels throughout the year, leading to expansion and contraction. This frequent movement can create persistent shifts in the soil, placing stress on your home's foundation and crawl spaces. Additionally, some areas may have poor drainage, causing water to collect around the foundation and seep into crawl spaces. This moisture intrusion is a common factor contributing to mold growth and wood rot, leading to structural vulnerabilities down the line.
When moisture affects your crawl space, it can have significant consequences. The fluctuating moisture levels create an environment where mold thrives and floor joists weaken, impacting your home's stability. Signs like sloping floors, unpleasant odors, and increased humidity often indicate deeper problems within your crawl space. Catching these signs early and understanding their root causes helps maintain the structural integrity of many homes in Blacklick. By addressing these issues promptly, you can mitigate further damage and ensure the longevity of your home's foundation. Look out for pooling water and check for musty smells—these can be early warnings of impending crawl space troubles.

It may also include an estimate of costs and a timeline for the completion of repairs.

These kits may not address underlying structural problems or provide the comprehensive coverage needed to prevent future moisture intrusion and related damage.

In some cases, sagging floors can be repaired without replacing the subfloor. Solutions such as reinforcing the existing joists, adding support beams or jacks, or addressing underlying issues like moisture and improper drainage may help restore the floor's integrity without the need for subfloor replacement.
