The Solution

Polyurethane injection sidewalk leveling.

To restore the concrete slabs that had settled from soil washout, Groundworks was brought in to restore safe walking conditions quickly and effectively. Using a fast-reacting polyurethane, technicians drilled small holes and injected beneath the sunken walkways to realign the concrete surfaces with precision. The injection process delivered the polyurethane in a liquid state, allowing it to reestablish soil connectivity and gently apply even lift to the slab. This careful lifting brought the slabs back to grade to eliminate trip hazards, while ensuring the joints matched seamlessly with adjacent panels.

The Impact

450 feet of walkway stabilized.

During this project, 450 linear feet of walkway was leveled and stabilized. Additionally, the work was completed in a single day. Full use of the walkways was restored immediately after injection, minimizing downtime for residents and eliminating the trip hazards without the need for removal or replacement of the entire walkway.
