Event Recap: Racing for a Good Cause

It’s always an honor to hit the ground running for a good cause. On Feb. 23, 2025, Groundworks proudly participated in the Davis Stampede, a dynamic community running event held in Davis, CA. Four dedicated Groundworks employees took to the course, with three running the 5K and one tackling the 10K. The morning was filled with energy as over 2,000 runners gathered to support a great cause.

The event was a resounding success, with the emcee bringing humor and enthusiasm to the crowd. Our team built connections with Cancer Champions, the event’s benefactor, encouraging continued collaboration for future events.

Our participation demonstrated our commitment to community engagement, strengthened ties, and opened up future partnerships with Cancer Champions, supporting cancer survivors through fitness and wellness initiatives.

“The event was great; over 2,000 runners showed up for this on a Sunday morning, “said General Manager James Teixeira. “The emcee was great, and I made sure to introduce myself and give him ammunition to speak about us during the morning on the loudspeakers. He took it to another level, which was great to see him throw some humor into the morning.”
