Groundworks Colorado Partners with Habitat for Humanity for a Second Time

This year, the Groundworks teams in Colorado partnered with Habitat for Humanity for a second year. As part of the companywide Build Together 2024 initiative, employees assisted in home builds for members of the local communities.

Groundworks donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country to support long-term stability through safe and affordable housing. Part of the Goodworks by Groundworks program, this partnership gives 5,000 employees the chance to volunteer in 63 communities throughout the year.

Denver

In June, the team partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. Seven employees helped at a renovation project that had previously been gutted. The team painted the interior walls and installed insulation panels.

Colorado Springs

Team members in Colorado Springs volunteered with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity on September 20. Efforts included building a rock retaining wall in the front yard and constructing a fence for a local family. Both teams were grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the local communities in which they live and serve.

Grand Junction

Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County hosted 8 employees from the Grand Junction office in November. Employees worked on two homes installing windows in one and constructing framing on the other.

Team members were also able to meet and work with one of the future homeowners, Emily. Getting to see the impact their efforts had first hand was a great experience for the group.
