Groundworks Joins Forces with Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region As a Fur Ball Sponsor

Event Recap: An Un-fur-gettable Evening

On May 10, 2025, Groundworks proudly served as the “Red Carpet” sponsor for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region’s signature fundraiser—the Fur Ball—in Colorado Springs, CO. This year’s event embraced the enchanting theme, Aristocats: Paris Nights & Jazz Delights, bringing together animal lovers, advocates, and local supporters.

Dedicated Groundworks employees and their partners stepped out in style to join the gala, celebrating compassion and community with heart and purpose.

The evening directly supported HSPPR programs in Southern Colorado, with funds helping to provide shelter, medical care, and second chances to thousands of pets in need. One touching success story included Bella, a senior Labrador mix rescued from neglect, who now thrives in a loving forever home thanks to the resources raised from the fundraiser.

The 2025 Fur Ball was a record-breaking success, raising an incredible $702,000—surpassing the $700,000 fundraising goal.

How You Can Make A Difference

The Fur Ball is more than just a glamorous evening—it’s a vital event that directly supports the lifesaving work of the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR).

Founded in 1949, HSPPR is the largest animal rescue organization in Southern Colorado, committed to protecting and caring for homeless, injured, and abused animals. As a local nonprofit unaffiliated with national animal groups, it relies solely on community donations to carry out its mission of compassion.

Through continued partnerships like Groundworks’ support, HSPPR remains an open-admission shelter, ensuring every animal has a chance at safety and love.
