Groundworks Joins Forces with Make-A-Wish at Rafting for Wishes

Event Details

On July 18, 2025, at Meredith Bay, Groundworks proudly sponsored Rafting for Wishes, an inspiring annual fundraiser organized by Make-A-Wish. Teams gathered to raise donations and were challenged to remain on a raft for 24 straight hours, all in the spirit of granting life-changing wishes to local children.

One especially unforgettable moment came during the opening ceremony, when Wish Kid Keir discovered his wish was coming true: he’d be traveling to Paris. Keir departed the event in a limo escorted by local police, straight to the airport. The joy and hope sparked that day will be remembered by all who attended.

What We Achieved Together

Thanks to incredible support from the community, Rafting for Wishes has already raised $467,000 toward its $500,000 goal. These funds go to the organization’s ongoing mission to provide critical support to sick children and their families through charity and wish-granting.
