At Groundworks, we take pride in supporting organizations that make a positive impact on our communities.

That’s why we’re excited to sponsor the 4th Annual Golf Tournament, which benefits the Asbury Park American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), Thomas A. Edison Chapter #287.

This event, taking place on June 20, 2024, at the scenic Hominy Hill Golf Course, is more than just a day of golf; it’s an opportunity to support the enduring values of education, philanthropy, and civic responsibility that AHEPA champions.

Supporting AHEPA’s Mission

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) was established with a profound mission to promote the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, integrity, and excellence in both family and individual endeavors.

Founded in response to the civil rights challenges of the early 20th century, particularly to counteract the influence of the Ku Klux Klan, AHEPA has a long history of advocating for equality and community service. Today, the organization continues its commitment to these ideals through various initiatives, and we at Groundworks are honored to support such a noble cause.

A Day of Golf for a Greater Cause

The 4th Annual Golf Tournament was an enjoyable and impactful event. The day began with registration at 7:30 AM, followed by breakfast at 8:00 AM, and the excitement kicked off with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. Golfers enjoyed a variety of activities, including closest-to-the-pin contests, a hole-in-one challenge, and the chance to beat the pro. The event also featured on-course refreshments, a driving range, a putting green, and a scramble format that ensured everyone had a great time, regardless of skill level.

Participants competed for trophies in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place categories, as well as other prizes throughout the day. The tournament wasn’t just about winning; it was about coming together to support the important work that AHEPA does in promoting education and civic engagement.

Join Us in Supporting a Worthy Cause

We encourage everyone to come out next year for a day of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy. Whether you’re an avid golfer or just looking to support a great cause, this tournament offers something for everyone. Together, we can make a lasting impact and continue to uphold the values that AHEPA has championed for nearly a century.
