Ohio Basement Authority & Head for the Cure: Kicking Cancer to the Curb with Every Step

Event Recap: Raising Funds One Step at a Time

On May 18, 2025, Ohio Basement Authority proudly sponsored the 10th Annual Head for the Cure 5K at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

The event united over 1,500 participants, volunteers, and supporters to raise vital funds and awareness for the Clevelanders and their families impacted by brain tumors. The day was filled with passion, community spirit, and purpose as families, survivors, and advocates joined together in the spirit of hope and healing.

What We Achieved Together

Funds raised from the event—an astounding $132,000, far surpassing the initial $100K goal—directly benefit brain tumor research at the Cleveland Clinic and support Brains for the Cure and other national programs focused on education and advocacy.

This remarkable achievement demonstrates the power of community partnerships in driving meaningful change.

As a regionally driven initiative with national support, the event underscored our collective commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by brain cancer.

How You Can Make an Impact

This is an extremely important event for our community, and Ohio Basement Authority is proud to stand alongside Head for the Cure in the fight for better treatments and support for those impacted by brain tumors. Our commitment goes beyond event day—we continue to support community health, resilience, and awareness efforts throughout the year.
