Reflecting on the BBQ & Blues Festival

Groundworks proudly joined the Rotary Club of Bixby to sponsor the 2025 BBQ & Blues Festival, one of Oklahoma’s biggest and most beloved community events. Held at Washington Irving Memorial Park, the three-day festival delivered a packed schedule of live blues music, award-winning barbecue, carnival rides, a kids’ zone, and a vibrant vendor marketplace featuring over 50 local businesses.

Our Tulsa-based team had a great time connecting with the Bixby community, enjoying the energy of the event, and contributing to a weekend that was about more than great food and music—it was about making a real difference.

BBQ with a Purpose

Beyond the brisket and blues, this festival fuels important community programs year-round. Proceeds support initiatives like Shop with a Cop, local student scholarships, and the distribution of over 1,200 dictionaries to third graders across the region.
