Groundworks Sponsors Special Olympics Gold Medal Gala

Groundworks was honored to sponsor Oklahoma’s annual Special Olympics Gold Medal Gala on September 5, 2024. The event, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, featured a silent auction, a plated dinner, and a special presentation by a Special Olympics athlete and their parents. Together with other local organizations, we raised $175,000 to benefit over 10,500 Special Olympics athletes across Oklahoma.

The Barry Switzer Award of Excellence was also a highlight of the evening, with Tim Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics, presenting this year’s award. The Gold Medal Gala provided networking opportunities for local businesses and individuals to unite in supporting the Special Olympics’ positive efforts.
