Groundworks Supports Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade in Oklahoma City
At Groundworks, we are dedicated to giving back to our community, and we’re proud to support Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade right here in the Oklahoma City area.
This meaningful initiative helps provide essential school supplies for children of military families, ensuring they have the tools they need to start the school year strong.
What is the Back-to-School Brigade?
Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade® is an annual nationwide campaign that collects and distributes school supplies to the children of service members. Through this program, military children receive free back-to-school supplies, including high-quality backpacks, to help them feel confident and prepared for the new school year. Since its inception, the Back-to-School Brigade has successfully distributed over 550,000 backpacks to military children across the country.
Why Supporting Military Families Matters
For many military families, the back-to-school season can bring financial challenges. This program provides a resource, ensuring that military children receive reliable school supplies to support their educational journey. With durable backpacks and necessary items like pencils and paper, these students are better equipped to thrive in the classroom.
Groundworks’ Role in Supporting the Cause
Our Groundworks team in Oklahoma City was excited to participate in this initiative by assembling school supply kits and pencil pouches for local military children. With several team members who have served in the military or have family ties to veterans, this cause is close to our hearts.
We believe in supporting those who have sacrificed for our country, and the Back-to-School Brigade is a wonderful way to give back to military families in need.
Join Us in Making a Difference
There are many ways you can get involved and support Operation Homefront’s mission, from donating supplies to volunteering your time. We encourage everyone in the Oklahoma City community to consider contributing to this incredible cause and help make a difference in the lives of military families.
