Groundworks Supports Operation Homefront’s School Supply Drive

At Groundworks, supporting those in need is a core part of our mission. We are committed to lending a helping hand wherever we can, especially when it comes to assisting children, families, and military service members.

When we learned about an opportunity to support all three of these groups, we knew it was the perfect initiative for our team to get involved in. Our Tulsa office enthusiastically participated in a school supply donation drive for Operation Homefront, a nationally recognized nonprofit.

About Operation Homefront

Operation Homefront is dedicated to building strong, stable, and secure military families, so they can thrive in the communities they have worked tirelessly to protect. Since 2002, the organization has provided relief and ongoing support programs to help military families overcome short-term difficulties before they become long-term hardships. Their services include housing assistance, financial aid, and school-based outreach.

Starting School on the Right Foot

On July 27, 2024, our team contributed to and helped organize school supplies for children of military families preparing for the new academic year. This was part of Operation Homefront’s annual Back-to-School Brigade®, a nationwide campaign that provides free backpacks and school supplies to eligible dependents of service members.

By supporting this program, we’re able to help military children start the school year equipped for success. The Back-to-School Brigade has been tremendously impactful, with Operation Homefront distributing over 550,000 backpacks to military families across the country.
