Groundworks Teammates Compete In Push-Up Challenge Benefitting St. Jude’s

Event Recap: Pushing Ourselves for a Good Cause

During December 2022, employees at Groundworks’ Pennsylvania branches, formerly Baker’s Waterproofing, challenged themselves in a unique way to support children and families affected by pediatric cancer. As part of the Goodworks by Groundworks volunteer program, over 600 employees participated in the 3,000 Push-ups Challenge throughout the month, resulting in a whopping $100,000 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The challenge, which required employees to complete 100 push-ups a day, was initiated by Matt Malone, CEO of Groundworks. Employees in Pennsylvania and other locations across the country enthusiastically put themselves to the test, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

Get Involved

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is dedicated to advancing cures and prevention methods for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Families never receive a bill for care, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus entirely on helping their child heal. This mission is vital because the breakthroughs developed at St. Jude’s are shared globally, improving survival rates and giving children everywhere a better chance at life.

If you’d like to give back, you can support St. Jude’s by donating directly through their website, participating in fundraising events, or becoming a monthly donor to sustain their life-saving work.
