Groundworks Partners with Habitat for Humanity for Build Together 2024 Initiative
Event Recap: Build Together 2024
In May, Groundworks employees volunteered at the Habitat ReStore in New Braunfels, Texas. Hosted by Comal County Habitat for Humanity, 14 team members helped organize and process donations while building dog houses for a future Habitat fundraiser.
Habitat ReStores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations. Sales from donated items directly support Habitat’s mission to partner with families in building, rehabilitating, and repairing safe and affordable homes in the community.
“For three years now, we have looked forward to hosting Groundworks for a volunteer day. The team always comes ready with enthusiasm and dedication to support our local affiliate. We greatly appreciate the hard work and support that Groundworks contributes and we look forward to hosting again!” – Dakota Timmermann, Public Relations Coordinator
This event is part of the companywide Build Together 2024 initiative.
Groundworks donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country to support long-term housing stability in communities nationwide. This partnership provided 5,000 employees the opportunity to volunteer in 63 communities throughout the year.
