Groundworks Supports Guide Dogs of Texas

Event Recap: Supporting the Visually Impaired

On August 4, 2025, Groundworks San Antonio partnered with Guide Dogs of Texas (GDTX), a local nonprofit dedicated to enhancing freedom, mobility, and independence for Texans who are visually impaired. As an accredited member of the International Guide Dog Federation and the North American Council of Guide Dog Schools, GDTX provides life-changing mobility through expertly trained guide dogs.

As part of the collaboration, our team sponsored and named a puppy from their latest litter, Poppy’s Puppies. Meet Willa, a future guide dog who will one day transform someone’s life. Groundworks is proud to support GDTX’s mission of delivering lifelong, personalized service to clients in our community.

Community Impact Highlights

Through our sponsorship and participation, we helped support the early development and training of a future guide dog. Partnerships like this allow GDTX to sustain its accredited training program and ensure that visually impaired Texans receive the resources they need to live with greater independence and confidence.

Get Involved

Supporting services like GDTX directly contribute to safer, more inclusive communities for all. There’s still so much more good we can do, though. Whether through volunteering, donating, or sharing support, involvement makes a lasting impact. To learn more, visit the Guide Dogs of Texas official website.
