Groundworks Joins Forces With Habitat for Humanity for Home Build

Event Recap: Building Together for Stronger Communities

In June 2024, Groundworks’ West Virginia team, formerly Basement Authority of West Virginia, proudly partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha & Putnam as part of Groundworks’ companywide Build Together 2024 initiative.

Seven team members volunteered their time to help construct floorplates and joists for a new home in Charleston that will provide a safe and stable space for a family in need. Their efforts were even featured in the Charleston Gazette-Mail, highlighting the impact of this meaningful community collaboration.

This partnership reflects Groundworks’ commitment to more than foundation repair. It’s about supporting the long-term stability of families and neighborhoods. Through Build Together, Groundworks pledged $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity, empowering more than 5,000 employees nationwide to volunteer in 63 communities. Together, we’re helping create affordable housing solutions and brighter futures for families across the region.
