I watched a commercial featuring Groundworks on the internet and shortly after, also heard another on the radio. I was having no problems with my house foundation or the crawl space (about 4' height in there). But decided to have this company seal off the interior in that space for added warmth beneath my ground floor. I personally had placed heavy plastic just on the dirt floor in 2003, when the framer was still framing in the first floor of my home. Skip to the year 2025 – Cody met with me first and put together a free estimate. I agreed to the terms immediately and approx 10 days later 3 employees from Groundworks arrived. Their box truck has a huge Groundworks logo all across the side. They called ahead of time and also just before they pulled into the drive. The lead crew member's name was B.Wesley, along with Mac and Zach. They were able to pull most all the dirt, dust etc. out with just removing that old plastic. After they finished, the transformation is like magic! I appreciate a clean environment and when that total space with floor and walls were wrapped and taped – the best word I can think of is "stunning". The very durable Aquastop Wrap makes a warm space down there and already I believe my house is easier to heat. Thank you Groundworks! I tell all my friends and pull out my camera to show them the "magic" !!

Earlier today, Mike Gold from Groundworks inspected our sump pump and seal lining that was installed last year. Despite a long drive to the mountains from Denver, Mike was right on time. In fact, Mike thoughtfully called beforehand to see if ok to come about an hour earlier, and texted me when he was 5 mins away. Mike’s demeanor was both professional and pleasant. Mike did a full inspection and test of the system, as well as re-attached part of our crawlspace seal lining to our wall, in 30 minutes. Mike showed me photos, and even looked for potential mouse droppings at my request. For our future inspections, I’m going to ask for Mike. Groundworks is fortunate to have him on their team. Thanks again Mike.

Gabriel was courteous; the work was done efficiently and professionally. The Foreman communicated with us regularly during the course of the week-long project. They made every effort to minimize the disruption to our household and schedule. We have every hope that our water problems have been solved.

Big project in our basement, and it couldn’t have gone better! Luis, Ramon, and Rodrigo are experts at what they do and are true professionals! Installing 2 sump pumps, a water barrier, cutting a trench in the concrete for a French drain, and burying the exit pipe outside to make it as indiscreet as possible in the front of our historic home. Their communication throughout the entire project was excellent- they filled us in on and showed us what they were doing every step of the way. They treated our home like it was their own, taking extra time to make sure the work looks excellent, cleaning up after themselves, and even going the extra mile to blow all of the leaves off of the sidewalk in front of our house to not track them in! We couldn’t recommend Luis and his crew enough!

We hired Groundworks to install a steel beam after discovering that a previous owner had removed a load-bearing wall in our basement without proper structural support. The initial process was smooth and gave us confidence moving forward. However, the engineer was never scheduled for an onsite visit and completed the documentation without seeing the project in person. I would strongly recommend requesting an onsite engineering review—it would have given us much more confidence, especially with work involving braking a stem wall. That said, the experience wasn’t perfect. We had to reschedule due to a funeral, and it took quite a while to get back into their workflow. Scheduling flexibility is definitely an area that could be improved. The biggest issue came with the first installation attempt. The initial crew missed the mark—the support posts were not placed aligned, and there was unnecessary damage, including cutting through wood framing that was supporting lights. We were also asked to sign off on the work in that condition, which was concerning. To their credit, Groundworks did step up and make it right. The second crew did an excellent job and delivered a much better result. Steve A. coordinated a strong team—Osyrus P., Aaron K., and Holden—who clearly knew what they were doing and took care to correct the issues. Overall, while there were some frustrating moments, I’m giving a high rating because of their willingness to acknowledge the problems and fix the work properly. If you get the right crew and don’t run into scheduling issues, I would recommend Groundworks.

We had the pleasure of working with Malik, Andy and Showne, who were all extremely knowledgeable, professional, and highly motivated. Malik oversaw the project of installing a new sump pump in our crawlspace, rim joist Insulation, drainage matting and extreme block. Malik educated us about the sump pump system and explained how each layer would give us more protection against water damage, rodents, etc. Upon completion, we were amazed at how clean everything was and everything was done meticulously! I highly recommend Malik and his crew, as he is dedicated to doing an excellent job and making sure everything is perfectly done!
