FSM came out to waterproof my basement where the drainage had gone bad due to age. There were a few issues and the team had to come back after the initial fix, but FSM handled it vey well. They were not satisfied until I was happy with the project. All employees who came to my house were great communicators (called before estimated arrival time to let me know they were on their way, answered all my questions while on site, provided call backs, etc.) Alex K., Terrell Jr., and Jason were professional, friendly, and extremely hard workers. They were very respectful of my home and property (with a job that is quite messy!) and at the end of the day everything was clean and back to normal. I'm happy they were on the job and would recommend them, and FSM, to anyone needing basement waterproofing.

The crew come and did great job . Before we had our basement done we could not use it due to constant flooding . Now Brian come and look at our basement and explain in detail what going be doing and said howl long it will take to repair it..it was done In two days awesome I was impress .Tom show me the work as it was completed and explain the battery backup for the sumpump in case of power outage. I had concrete floor leveling, and a foundation pier system installation. The droughts over the last few years caused any area supported by a trench foundation to sink. Gaps on the brick formed. The garage side door would not open. The concrete leveling took 1 day, and the foundation work took 2 days. These projects required 2 separate crews, as crew specialize. The foundation work was done 1st, followed by the concrete slab leveling a couple of days later. Both crews arrived a little after 8 am. They were professional, and answered my questions. I took some pictures of the foundation work, also. When the crews were finished, they left the areas broom clean, which is standard. Nothing was damaged. The foundation exposure took place on the 1st day. The lifting took place on the morning of the 2nd day. The inspector came around noon and approved the project. The crew then filled in the dirt, cleaned up and left. The foundation work area have dirt piles next to the brick. This is normal as it takes time for the dirt to settle. I had foundation work at our house about 20 years ago, on another area with a trench foundation. So, I knew what to expect. Also, the crew took out 3 bushes for me to transplant in my front yard. They also replanted a medium size firebush for me in the backyard. I did lose some shrubs due to the dirt needing to settle.

We're had a really great experience and are glad to be using them. We had work done through another company a few years ago, which is not holding up well. (Our basement continues to smell musty sometimes.) We really liked the ability to schedule the appointment online and couldn't have asked for a better consultation with Keenan. We've been very pleased with the correspondences ahead of the work such as receiving the plans and permits. It's a lot of money to drop on something that isn't vital at the moment, but fully trust that these guys will get it done right and stand by their work.

i am a senior citizen who actually lives in the Walled Lake area. also live in a condominium community. i was experiencing flooding and sub pump issues in my basement and of course Mangement co. and association did not want to help me. Fourtanelly a fellow named Dave came to the condo and was so patient and helpful in making me understand and decide what was needed to fix the problems . i was totally surprised by the workers that came to fix the problems they were such hard workers, and they had to go up and down about 25 stairs carrying gravel and cement along with equipment they needed to use.Miguel,Jose,and Juilan were the hardest workers i have ever seen. they even ate their lunch in the truck. they were professional,knowledgeable,polite and kind. i highly recommend this co. We recently had our crawl space encapsulated by FSM and the results are very impressive. The crew consisting of Tim, Kody, and Sid kept us informed all along the way. These guys attended to the work with diligence and care. They were thoughtful and took care that the work area was neat as well as our home. We can't thank them enough for the professional way they executed the project. When all was complete, I inspected the crawl space and was overwhelmed with the attention to detail and how meticulous Tim, Kody, and Sid are upon me seeing the results of their labor. These guys demonstrated a pride in what they do and it shows in the way they interacted with us. If anyone ever asks me about what to do about their crawl space I will certainly recommend FSM most strenuously and certain tell them if they get the work done, to ask for Tim, Kody, and Sid.

Starting in the family garage in 2007, Bob Genord saw a need in the marketplace for a professional company that treats customers with respect.
From those humble beginnings grew the most trusted basement waterproofing, foundation, and crawl space repair company in the state- FSM. Starting with one location in Livonia, soon additional offices in Grand Rapids and Traverse City were added to better serve the entire lower peninsula and the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
The acquisition by Groundworks in July 2020 was a natural progression, as Genord always did what was best for his community and employees. The team-up allows FSM to expand further and faster, with more resources, to better serve the people of Michigan and beyond.
