History
Spouses Bob and Vicki Genord started Foundation Systems of Michigan out of their home after noticing a gap in services in the area. They focused on educating the customer about the issues with their home and the repair methods. In 2020, FSM partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company and immediately expanded its service coverage. FSM has an A+ rating with the BBB and was honored by the Livonia-Westland Chamber as Outstanding Business of the Year in 2024. Today, FSM continues to serve Michigan homeowners under the Groundworks name.

We scheduled an appointment on the phone and throughout the scheduling process, the Groundworks team was very informative and communicative. Rich was my waterproofing expert and he was very friendly and professional. During the process he did an inspection and then presented the solutions while explaining the causes and the remedies for any and all issues. The cost is quite high but but there are financing options and it is a permanent waterproofing system. I recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for a waterproof home.

We had Groundworks out to install a sump pump and other water proofing measures at our home. Dean gave us an initial estimate and he was thorough and very kind. Jacob was our main contact for the on site work and he was excellent. He was kind and explained every step of the process with us. He showed us how everything would work and offered his number in case we had any questions afterward. I appreciate him and his onsite crew- they all worked very hard carrying heavy buckets of concrete in and out of our house. Very thankful and appreciative of Jacob and his crew!

Groundworks not only took my nasty 1933 basement and took care of the water issues, but totally transformed the feeling of the basement. Now it’s clean and functional. Attached are some before and after pictures. John, Matt, Miguel and Victor knocked it out in 2 days. I’m very satisfied
