Quickly ruling out any outside solution we turned to Tar Heel for their AquaStop BasementGutterl. Paul our inspector did exceptional job of understanding our unique problems offering us options that we used to create an affordable solution. The diagram he drew was exceptional so by this time we had a lot of confidence. Our installers Mathais, Terrance and Matt really could not have done a better job. I would recommend Tar Heel Basement System to a friend. One piece of advice I can offer is to get THBS to work first, don't design your interior with water problems as a consideration.

I couldn't be more satisfied than I am with Tar Heel Basement Systems. The crews ( Led by Gus J, Anthony M, Felipe L and Javana) were amazing. I enjoyed meeting them, young people so professional, and down to earth (no pun intended). Everything promised prior to service was delivered; I was really impressed by the way we were taught about the process before it began. The price was less than we thought it would be, after we listed the things we wanted done. The really great thing is that the foundation of our old home is stable for years to come. A warranty will carry over to the next homeowners after we eventually sell. It is nice to know we have an old house with a new foundation support system, including state of the art crawlspace- all under warranty-that we will pass on to the next family who lives here! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I recently needed my crawlspace paper wrapped and a foundation wall elevated about 2in. Right after sending a yelp message I received a quick response with times to have someone come out, and once they did come out it was followed by an awesome visualization of the work they could get done. While, understandably because of demand, it did take about a month or so for Tarheel to be able to work on the project (I was noted of this in preparation). Once they were able to come out, they did so quite quickly and with very high standard. The crawlspace work was very well sealed and contained, and the foundation work was well explained and the people involved in the whole project did a fantastic job. So much so that I would like to give a special thanks to Gus J., Anthony M., Jimmy M. and Felipe L. for the work they had done, I really appreciate the help! Highly recommended company!

I want to thank Tim Martin for providing a prompt and thorough inspection of the crawl space of my Greensboro home. He took extensive photos of the crawl space area and provided expert advice on what needed to be done. I also want to thank the team of foreman Robert Hacker, Josh Murphy, and Tyree for all of their hard work— and during days when the outdoor temperature was in the nineties, it was very hard work indeed! They did a great job removing the old insulation, encapsulating the crawl space, and installing the sump pump and dehumidifier. They were all very polite, helpful, and professional. Tar Heel Basement did a great job in encapsulating the crawlspace of our Education Building at our church. Luke G. enlightened us with a good explanation of mitigation for our moisture and drainage issues. Charles and DJ who performed the work were knowledgeable, courteous and optimistic about the good job they would do. They worked as a cohesive team and provided feedback in a timely manner. The job was completed a couple of days before scheduled. I can't say enough good things about Gus and Anthony. They worked long and hard in extreme heat and rain. I can't thank them enough
History
Beginning as a ‘one-man operation’, Tar Heel Basement Systems began after founder Pete Burgess encapsulated his own crawl space. Seeing the improvement the system had on his own home, Burgess felt compelled to share with others. From these humble beginnings grew a multi-service operation offering foundation repair, crawl space repair, basement waterproofing, and concrete lifting.
From their offices in Raleigh and Winston-Salem, Tar Heel serves all of North Carolina and parts of Southwest Virginia in areas including Boone, Durham, Greensboro, Rocky Mount, and nearby.
In November 2017, Tar Heel merged with Groundworks after ensuring their legacy of customer, employee, and community dedication would be continued. This allowed Tar Heel to grow beyond artificial boundaries and allows access to upgraded training and products.
