My new 'water control system' (drains, sump) were installed yesterday as Hurricane Helene visited the Blue Ridge Mountains. My crew (Jason Butler, Raijohn Metcalf, Stacey Scott, and Joel Woodley) met the storm head on! What a fantastic job. They were there on time (this is a big deal for me), knew the job, had everything needed to do it, and got it done! They were courteous, careful, and tremendously hardworking – even as the water seeped in through the foundation. Amazing. I would totally recommend this crew and JES Foundation repairs. This hopefully solved a 30 year problem and the new system will give me back a big section of my basement – soon to be a Man Cave. If it handled a hurricane, it will handle anything. I was having moisture issues in my basement. I scheduled appointment. Jes showed up on time and carefully inspected the damage. I had stage 2 wall failure. I scheduled appointment to get it repaired. They called and moved appointment up. Then 1 day before canceled it. The work was done when originally scheduled, so I have no problem with that. When Reed Norvell showed up, he and his crew did a great job. It was evident from the beginning that he had been well trained. Reed took charge and instructed his crew with ease and precision. He did his best to protect my stuff from being covered with concrete dust. He was very kind,. He knew I was sick and offerd to pick us up lunch. When the job was done, they cleaned up. I appreciate the effort because I realize foundation repair is a noisy, messy job. I am not normally comfortable with workers in my house. Reed made me feel at ease . I even fell asleep amidst all the noise. It has only been a few days since job completion, but I'm confident that I will have no more moisture issues. It is a lot of work and frustration on my part, but the end product is worth it.

Thank you JES for a job well done. The crew, led by Foreman Charles Byers, were very professional, conscientious, courteous, hard working young men. Charles explained everything they needed to accomplish as they went along. This was not an easy job, running into several unexpected problems due to inadequate, unstable, unusual footing work done by the builder of 20 years ago. Our pier issues were solved due to the diligent hands on hard work performed by this crew, along with the JES engineers and supervisors that were consulted. They were calm and considered this job just another problem to be solved. This two day job became a labor intensive five day job. We are so very pleased with the final outcome, knowing our house is now safe due to this wonderful crew. Thank you Charles Byers, Chris Weddel, Garrett Williams and Reed Norvel.

Couldn’t be happier with the project quality and communication from the workers on sight. The crawl space encapsulation looked very meticulously combed over and done with care and skill, the drain lines dug outside were also done with superb quality but the highlight of the project was without a doubt the workers. Reed Norvell, Charles Simmons, and Darin Harris were incredible workers that were extremely polite and transparent about the state of the job as they relayed regular updates. They were all hospitable, and great at making sure we actively understood what was going on every step of the way not to mention how pleasent and enjoyable they were to talk to. Even with a project this vital and expensive it’s really the quality of the people and how much you can tell they’re putting in that make it a great job and these three workers were truly great, really couldn’t ask for more.
