"Alan the field inspector foreman Oscar and crew Ricardo did an excellent job. They were friendly and answered questions. They also provided me with information and the service they do. Alan took 2 hours or more explaining and using his meter reading equipment went all around outside perimeter of house and did the inside of every room. Free!!!! I had an area outside on patio by my Column Pillar that had sunken and was building up with water due to all the rain we had been having. When Oscar and Ricardo came and saw a concern of the Column Pillar where they were going to dig down and pour Polyurethane it could move the structure of roofing where column was attached to. It all worked out and Oscar even repaired the cracks around the pillar. They all did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Thank you to all at Groundworks!!!!!!!"

Common Causes of your Foundation Problems in Menifee

Have you ever wondered why the floors in some homes seem a bit uneven or why doors stick for no obvious reason? In Menifee, the answer often lies in how the local environment interacts with home foundations. The area experiences variations in soil moisture due to seasonal patterns, impacting the stability of the soil beneath many houses. Some properties are built on expansive clay soils which absorb water and expand, then contract when dry. This constant shift can lead to soil heave, a process where the ground beneath your home pushes upward or loses support, causing foundations to settle unevenly.

These natural soil movements exert pressure on your home's foundation and crawl spaces, potentially leading to significant structural issues. Common signs of these pressures include cracking walls, uneven floors, sticking doors, and water pooling in basements. Early detection can prevent these issues from escalating into costly repairs. Understanding these signs and the environmental stressors that cause them can help protect your home, ensuring that any necessary repairs are addressed before causing further harm to the structure. Regularly inspecting these areas can prevent foundational distress in homes across Menifee, preserving the safety and value of your property.
