The inspector, Adam Chaney, was extremely thorough and professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to clearly explain what he was seeing, what the underlying issues were, and how they could be addressed. What stood out most was the level of detail and patience – this was not a quick in-and-out visit. He spent a couple of hours walking through everything with me, and made sure I fully understood the situation before wrapping up. I hired Baker's Waterproofing at recommendation of a recently hired plumbing contractor after their work revealed a leak coming through my foundation. I called Baker's and they sent somebody out for an initial inspection of my basement and garage. It was ultimately uncovered that my foundation was built of cinderblocks and was not only leaking water from the steep hill behind my home whenever it rained or whenever snow melted, but also that groundwater was welling up and through it from the ground below. Baker's scheduled a time that worked for both their workers and my time, and sent out Victor and Miguel to get a full waterproofing, french drain, and pump installation with backup system installation completed. Their work quality, work ethic, and determination to keep timeliness blew me away. Despite running into several complications and delays that were through no fault of their own, not to mention inclement weather on one of the scheduled days of work (heavy snowfall), they managed to work with their small crew to get all of the work done in about a week's total time. It only took them two days of work to complete a full job along nearly the entire basement wall, the whole back garage wall, and one entire side wall of the garage. On top of this, from start to finish of this project with Baker's Waterproofing, every person I spoke to and worked with was extremely professional, courteous, and explained anything I needed elaboration on clearly and concisely; and their pricing was not only competitive, but extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of work they did. I cannot recommend Baker's Waterproofing enough; they are worth every minute and every penny. Special thanks to Victor and Miguel. If I ever need anything Baker's Waterproofing can do again, I am definitely asking for them by name.

This review is for any single, female, homeowner that needs work done and are looking for an honest company. Trust Bakers. I had Bob come to give me an estimate on my cracked, sunken patio, he let me know they could try to do it but it wouldn't be pretty and I may not get the results I wanted. I wanted to try anyway. We booked. Bob called and said I was assigned a foreman named Hayden and he thought that was the best foreman for the job. The day of my appointment arrived, bad weather hit. They went out of their way to reschedule me for the weekend. No worries. The day came. Hayden arrived and let me know if he did the job I would be wasting my money and that I should just put the funds towards getting a new patio….in a nice way. When Bob did his inspection my patio was decorated with chairs, rugs, Halloween decorations and things. I had it emptied for the job. So, he could not accurately assess. Not his fault! I'm very happy with the services I ended up not receiving from this company due to their honesty and ethics. Customer service was also great. Communication was great. If I ever have a need in the future (I probably will, my house is 107yrs old) I will not hesitate to contact Bakers Waterproofing. You shouldn't hesitate to contact them either!

It was time for our annual maintenance and our technician, Jeff Schroeder, was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He explained what was all done to our basement and why. He walked us through the process of what was needed to stop water from coming into our basement. He was so patient and helpful in getting everything scheduled and approved and answered any question we had! We would highly recommend Groundworks to anyone!

The project: install drainage to a yard basket from two gutter downspouts and a sump outlet. Everyone we interfaced with was great to us – Sal gave us the quote, Steve in production got us taken care of for utility marking, and José C. and Rigoberto were great installers. Our property was left very clean and José and Rigoberto were very professional. The price was fair as well. The only reason for four stars instead of five is internal communication within Groundworks. We had scheduled the job a few months prior, but utility marking was not complete by the install date. The install crew had outdated plans from an earlier proposal of scope and the quote in their system didn't match the copy we had received when we signed. That said, when we got ahold of the right individuals everything was ironed out and overall we are happy with the work.

The crew was polite and efficient. When some cracked areas needed some patching after the lifting and stablizing, they notified me and asked if I wanted to add that to the job. After, what I thought was a fair estimate, they removed the cracked sections and used fresh cement to patch it. The crew was very professional, hauled away the lege chunks of cement and cleaned their work area. The workers were here longer than the original plan but did an excellent job. I will use this company again in the future.

Our experience with AFS was excellent! Our consultation was with Tim. We were comfortable with his plan to address the issues with our foundation. Our work crew was Victor, Antonio and Ubaldo. They were professional and kind. I spoke mostly with Victor and he was patient while he took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. Very knowledgeable about the issues we had and the corrections. As a bonus, the work was scheduled to take two days and it was complete at the end of day one. I definitely recommend!

I recently had a trio of young men, Ler Htoo, Eh Tee and Ta Mla work on the goal of stabilizing my sunroom which had settled on one side. The group was very plesant to work with and not a minute was wasted-they worked at capacity continually. Their percision really caught my attention. They checked each other's work and they required all measurements be perfect. When using their levels they adjusted until they had percision. They explained each step of the project and were just a joy to have working for me. If I have another project for Groundworks, I'd like to have this team work for me. I called for a quote because I have sidewalks all around my 1915 home that are in very bad shape and heaving in several places as well as a washed out area of sidewalk that sunk about 5". They came out and gave me a quote within a week. I had questions and the owner came to my home at 8:00 on a Saturday morning to discuss the areas he had included in his proposal. Two days later they came out and did the work. They were on time and did exactly everything that they said they were going to do. I'm very impressed with Chris and Barb at Top Notch. I didn't get Chris's technician's name that came out with him but he seemed friendly and worked hard the entire time as well. I will definitely refer people I know to Top Notch. Very impressed!

Denis has quite an impressive working experience and knowledge of many mechanical areas of a home. I found the service call to be very informative, especially being the new occupant of this home. Working with Groundworks has been absolutely fantastic. The Field Inspector Alen was extremely informative and understanding of the issues we were having. He was able to work with us on getting the right project and details set for our needs. Foreman Roger and Crewmember Juan were punctual, professional, and fast while doing a fantastic job. They gave me the same warning Alen did about my pavers possibly lifting. I had not issue because I’d much rather fix that than have my previously expensive project go in the trash and slide down our hillside. Instead, the finished project came out better than expected, rarely any lifting, only one spot where the foam came up but I’ve covering that area anyways, and very clean and thoroughly produced. I cannot recommend Groundworks enough at this point and will definitely be using them in the future. 5* to all of their workers.

I just had a foundation stabilization done by FSS/Groundwork. From the inspection/estimate completed by Joshua, who was very thorough and explained the process and options to me in a way I could understood, to the crew who came and completed the job, I am very pleased. Mike, the foreman for my job, kept me up-to-date on his arrival each day, was very pleasant and informative of what they were going to do,the equipment they would be using and his crew, Elyas and David, were also very pleasant and didn't mind me checking on them and observing how the push-pins are pushed into the ground to reach bedrock. Each day, of only two days to complete the job, they cleaned up and when the finished on the second day, left things all cleaned up where I can hardly tell they were there! Highly recommend!

Anthony and Caleb came out for a poly renewal on the driveway and walkway. Basically I had some erosion under the driveway causing a slightly sunken slap and cracked, deap, widening control joints. These two were awesome. Arrived on time and completed the work in the time frame they specified. Lift looked amazing and concrete even. No more snow shovels snagging on concrete. The sealed joints looked great and looked better then expected. Definitely want this duo if another job arises.
