My house has foundation issues I had a professional estimator come out from groundworks Colby and Alex Colby was very professional and explained in detailed and thoroughly and was very friendly and understanding of how stressful it is to have a house with issues especially foundation issues I was impressed because I've dealt with many companies before with bad negative outcomes and experiences this company and Colby was and still is trying to help and go above and beyond they have excellent communication skills and for someone like me who asks many questions he had no problem with communication answering questions and they understand how stressful these type of foundation problems are the communication is by far the best I've seen and I've had to deal with other companies several times over the last couple years this company is definitely one of the best they have computer explanation which is simple the answer questions they did a very very detailed thorough estimates of the house condition that took a couple hours which is good because other companies I was lucky if they spent 15 minutes to somehow come up with an estimate the other companies are not good – compared to this company these guys generally seem like they want to help they did a proper inspection unlike other companies communication here is best they explain things that he doesn't have a problem answering the questions no matter how many I've got and they're trying to help with finance instead of leaving me stranded like other companies they generally seem to care and this is quite rare I highly recommend this company and Colby and Alex are very professional and top notch!

I just had the BEST experience with Groundworks, working with Brian Eames, and the crew of Alex, Iuri and Luis. My project was a big project consisting of installation of approximately 40 pier piles, pin piles and helical piles to my foundation, in order to better anchor my home to the bedrock (I live on a hill). I was EXTREMELY nervous about the project and planned for it for a year and a half. Brian consistently calmed my fears every step of the way, and each time I had a question, he took as much time as needed to give me all the answers and reassure me. When my project finally occurred last week, I was immediately comforted by the presence of the crew – Alex, Iuri and Luis. They were professional, respectful, kind, and explained everything in detail before they started on the project to alleviate any concerns I had. When the project was complete, the clean up was amazing, They put everything back together perfectly, and it was as if they had never been here. I now have the peace of mind of knowing my house is secured to the hillside, and I cannot recommend Groundworks/Matvey highly enough.

I am really happy with the work the Groundworks crew did on our back patio. One of our concrete slabs had sunken by about 5 inches, and really inhibited from using our patio well. Kenne provided us with a quote and explained the full process, covering many of my questions without my needing to ask. The work crew, Eric and Juan, were both friendly, got the job done promptly (but still with care). They even touched up the caulking that they piped after my toddler ran through it while it was still wet 🤦♀️ Our patio is now level and we can enjoy sitting at our outdoor table without the chair legs falling off “the ledge of doom” as I formerly called it.

When we had our 1960s home underpinned, the consultant arrived on time to give us a quote. He gave us different options for work to be done and had solutions to cutting cost on things that weren't absolutely necessary. The work was done within a week. All of the workers were professional. Something that stood out the most was the way the workers communicated with each other. They weren't your typical construction crew in this sense. They were very kind to each other and supportive of each other, even when they were in a difficult situation. This isn't common in construction. As for the cost, it was what we had expected and we don't have any complaints. Our house is level now and doesn't feel like we're drunk walking in areas that were previously sagging. There's a reason Bay Area Underpinning is #1 in the area. Would recommend, even if they aren't the cheapest- they get the job done right.

We were recommended this company by our son who had work done by them. They came when they said they would. Their price was reasonable and their work was excellent. Our lanai slab had cracks and had settled in a couple if spots. Our screen door would not open without a struggle. We could not have any ciating done to make it attractive. Alpha Foundations came in and leveled the slab. The door works well now and we had the floor coated all within one week. I cannit remember the tecs names but they were tge nicest. Hardest working young men. Our salesman was also excellent. This company is top shelf and highly recommended. Don't hesitate to hire them for you foundation work.

JES sent Marcelo Flores to do the initial inspection and he helped me understand everything I needed to do to make the solution successful. Marcelo even responded to text messages when I had questions later. The installation was done only a few weeks later by Quintin Holthaus, Damien Files, Dante McKenzie, and Eric Townes. These gentlemen discovered that my footer was an unexpected size and they went above and beyond to adapt to this. They were also very positive and polite at all times. I highly recommend Groudworks, which did my waterproofing basement project, because their workmen were knowledgeable, skilled, and courteous. In addition, their company offers an array of financial options which are affordable. Stephan Adams, the contractor, did an excellent job of servicing my needs from the beginning to the end. Thyler Hendrix, the foreman of the crew, did a super job of keeping me informed of their progress and oversaw this project to make sure my needs were met. Joshua Tutt and Juan Osorio, the crew members, were highly skilled and all 3 worked cooperatively together as a terrific team. In addition, Lilly and the office staff were very helpful and friendly. My wife and I live in Portage County Ohio and needed to replace our basement sump and pump. I turned to Ohio Basement Authority that we have used in the past for other issues and specifically wanted their rep Chris Schewell to come out and take care of the issue. Chris has been taking care of our basement for years. Chris took his time and explained everything that was causing our issues (specifically the original sump was installed incorrectly and whole list of other issues). So we had his team come out today and install a whole new system and we could not have been more pleased. They were on time, professional, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and did an overall great job!! Major kudos to the Ohio Basement Authority! We had AFS encapsulate our crawl space almost five years ago. It was expensive but we were very pleased initially. Over the years, however, I realized the installers lapped the ground sheets incorrectly directing all the water flow onto the top of the next downhill sheet. This put all the pressure of holding the water on the tape, which did not hold after years of getting wet. Our service technician Ty could see the problem immediately when I told him my concerns. He spent an unbelievable amount of time re-lapping every joint. He did an AMAZING job and I now feel totally confident that my AFS encapsulation will do the job for decades to come. Ty also took the time to explain the control panels of the sump pumps and dehumidifier so I can reset the alarms that occur when it has to go on battery back up, a fairly common occurrence in rural Alabama. Thank you Ty. You are the best.

Not only did he evaluate the concrete and bricks on my front steps and driveway, he inspected the entire perimeter of my home for cracks, drainage issues and wood rot.
