I just had the BEST experience with Groundworks, working with Brian Eames, and the crew of Alex, Iuri and Luis. My project was a big project consisting of installation of approximately 40 pier piles, pin piles and helical piles to my foundation, in order to better anchor my home to the bedrock (I live on a hill). I was EXTREMELY nervous about the project and planned for it for a year and a half. Brian consistently calmed my fears every step of the way, and each time I had a question, he took as much time as needed to give me all the answers and reassure me. When my project finally occurred last week, I was immediately comforted by the presence of the crew – Alex, Iuri and Luis. They were professional, respectful, kind, and explained everything in detail before they started on the project to alleviate any concerns I had. When the project was complete, the clean up was amazing, They put everything back together perfectly, and it was as if they had never been here. I now have the peace of mind of knowing my house is secured to the hillside, and I cannot recommend Groundworks/Matvey highly enough.

The process from start to finish could not have been any smoother. First, we had Lou inspect our crawlspace and documented all the troubled spots that the prior owner did not take care of. Everything he went over was very detailed and easy to understand. Within two weeks, we had the awesome crew of Seth, Andrew, and Tony out every day Monday – Thursday, starting on time at 9am until they finished the big task of overhauling our crawlspace. Over two years ago i had another individual come out, check my foundation and preceded to tell me that my house was going to collapse if my 1/2 drop working towards the main drain, went any further. Saying the only reason the collapse had not occurred yet, was due to the solid poured concrete walls. No solution other than at this point the house will stay standing. With that knowledge my house was on the verge of falling in on itself I finally decided to call sometime later to see if the inevitable was here. Thank goodness I got Mark Dunbar! Wish I would have asked the first time he was out instead of waiting longer. Come to find out all the worry over the past two years was unnecessary! He took the time to explain in detail why the house was good and what to look for in the event something does need to be addressed. You can see Marks passion for delivering correct information while keeping customers interest first and foremost! My Dehumidifier Konked out and I called AQUAGUARD since they previously encapsulated my basement crawlspace. Jackson Waldrop was sent over to assess the situation and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. He was right on time and was the nicest guy. He filled me in on the issues and explained the options needed to address the issue. He had the equipment needed in the truck and took care of the project quickly. It was nice to get this issue resolved quickly by a qualified professional.

He kept us up on what was happening and how to fix. He was upfront about the cost and completed the repairs in short order. Chris was awesome, knowledgeable and polite. I have used Foundation Systems of Michigan (now Groundworks) since 2014. They fixed foundation leaks back then and installed a new sump pump. Since then, I've had them out every year to service the pump and inspect the foundation. Their technicians are always excellent – professional and experienced. The technician who came out this year, Marshall, was fantastic. He had done prep work for the service call before arriving, which made the visit that much more efficient. The reasons for his recommendations were presented clearly. All in all, it was a visit that reinforced my strong positive view of Groundworks. I'm glad that I chose them over 10 years ago and will certainly continue to work with them in the future.

Dean came out and provided us with an estimate for crawl space encapsulation. He came highly recommended by my brother who had previously used Alpha Foundations to do the encapsulation for his crawl space after experiencing water intrusion from Hurricane Helene. Dean was very knowledgeable. Tyler, Tristan, and Greg completed the encapsulation. They were fantastic! The installation took a little more than a day. We received text notifications both mornings when they were on their way and again when they arrived. They were friendly and professional and took pride in their work. It was a pleasure working with Alpha Foundations and their crew.

Five stars, hands down. Before the repair, my crawlspace was the kind of place you open once, shine a flashlight into, and immediately say, “Nope. Not today.” It was dirty, cramped, and probably had its own ecosystem with spiders, roots, and three generations of previous owners’ discarded hubcaps and bad decisions. I first worked with Matt, who didn’t hesitate to crawl under there for a full inspection. He took pictures, explained everything clearly, and somehow made it sound manageable instead of catastrophic. He even came out between Christmas and New Year’s while I had time off, which I appreciated. Thanks again, Matt. Then Logan, Tori, and Corey showed up for the install. These guys spent days crawling around under my house dragging plastic encapsulation, supports, and tools through conditions that would make most people suddenly remember they had somewhere else to be. Crawlspace work is tight, dirty, uncomfortable work, and they handled it like pros. They explained the process, answered my questions, worked quickly, and didn't laugh at the repairs I had made before calling them. The transformation is honestly impressive. My crawlspace went from something I actively avoided thinking about to clean, dry, fully encapsulated, and properly supported. It’s now structurally sound, sealed up tight, and honestly better put together than some job sites I’ve seen above ground. I never thought I’d feel proud of a crawlspace, but here we are.

Today a very professional service technician, Austin Holt, stopped by to inspect the work that Groundworks completed a year ago. The one year inspection is part of their initial service…which I think is Brilliant! Groundworks can monitor their lasting quality…plus ensure a continued relationship with the customer. In my case, Austin Holt noted that some grout had separated from the concrete patio that had been raised. He offered to reseal it while he was here. He did an outstanding job of resealing. Took lots of pictures of the project (before and after the grout work), to submit to the office for further review. Overall…super happy with Groundworks staff and service.

We couldn’t be happier, Nate’s assessment confirmed what we believed to be true and that is the work is holding strong. Jordan and the company kept me informed during the entire process with our agreement, financing, engineering, permitting start dates and completion as scheduled in-between storms! Jordan overdelivered as he helped onsite and was there to ensure I was happy at completion. WILL AND HIS CREW – RYAN AND TAY, ON SITE, WE AWESOME TOO! Will took over where Jordan left off to get this big job done. These guys really listened to me and treated my home like it was their own.
