We just had a consultation by Logan J. to look over our basement and exterior grading; we were very pleased with the thoroughness of the inspection and the extensive information Logan was able to offer us. He was up-front about what we should be concerned about vs what are just aesthetic issues, and was able to give us some guidance on controlling moisture in the basement. For now we’re having Groundworks lift some concrete pads around the exterior of our home and plan to use them to lift our front porch this summer or next. We had moisture seeping through the concrete slab at our front steps. Wade provided a complimentary inspection, and after assessing the issue, he told me they could take on the project — but recommended I try fixing it myself first to save money. He explained exactly what to do and what materials to use. When I ran into issues, Wade made himself available and offered additional guidance on how to move forward. He reminded me that his team could still take on the project if I didn’t want the hassle, but it would definitely be more economical to do it myself. I can't speak highly enough about Groundworks. I had a complicated crawlspace problem, including water intrusion. I got several proposals from different companies and individual contractors. Groundworks's proposal wasn't the cheapest, but it was the best. Their drainage and sump pump system has finally fixed my problem. The whole crew was super professional and skilled, and I want especially to commend Corey Meyers who went above and beyond the normal call of duty to ensure that every aspect of the work was done to my satisfaction.

Jordan came out to evaluate my foundation wall cracking. What a refreshing experience. Jordan’s amount of knowledge, empathy , and non pushy attitude was a welcome change. When we have that occasional eed for a contractor, we almost dislike to personal experience more than the problem. NOT in this case. AFS and Jordan are a true pleasure to deal with. The level of professionalism and knowledge was awesome! Even though it turns out we do need some work to stabilize our foundation, the price was fair, the value is fantastic, and the communication is the kind of stuff you wish for but rarely get. I’d give Jordan and AFS 10 stars if I could. Call these guys! You won’t regret the service or the experience.

I appreciated the thorough crawl space consultation and inspection provided by Zachariah M this past week. It was almost a 2 hour consultation which I was warned about but for good reason. There is definite value in that consultation time because he went thru the crawl space and took detailed photos which he shared. He also shared a visual layout of the crawl space and did a live sketch drawing of the materials in different ink colors and how it will be laid and layered and numbered them to show how that would be reflected in the itemized cost. He even showed samples of the materials so I can see them in 3D. He gave me options that allowed me to mix and match and see exactly how that would affect the final product and cost estimate. And once we reached my comfortable price point along with his detailed guidance of the process and the work, I felt comfortable and confident in my decision to hire Groundworks for my crawl space project. My decision was based not just on price but how thorough the consultation was with receipts to show for it and so the time spent during the consultation has tremendous value. I look forward to providing a final review of the work by the crews as the next step.

Timber Shelton our field inspector was at our home this morning. I really need to express how professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable Tim is in his field of work. He thoroughly inspected and answered each one of my questions with perfect answers to my problems. We talked about several scenarios of how to fix my water problem in my finished basement. The original inspection time was supposed to only be 90 minutes but Tim took the extra time to fill my needs with all my questions and solutions. He stayed for approximately 3 hours to help us with our decision with absolutely no sales pressure. Tim has an outstanding personality and truly a professional. Needless to say we came up with a solution and I signed a contract with him to complete the work. I requested a quote to potentially repair my floors and basement. The inspector, Nate Burrow arrived on time and explained the inspection process clearly. He performed a thorough inspection. Unfortunately my house is in too poor condition to undertake repairs because water and termite damage is too extensive. Nate saved me money by letting me know that undertaking repairs would be costly and would probably uncover a continuous chain of other unseen problems. This let me know that my money would be better spent building a new home instead of throwing it at an unending project. Thank you Nate!

Dan came out to inspect my home for some moisture along the basement walls. Thankfully, the solutions were identified and should solve the problems. Dan explained a lot to me about how lifting and stabilizing my concrete porch would help to stop water making its way to the foundation. He was also very helpful in explaining many things about home building I never knew. I felt a bit more empowered and at ease learning about how my basement drainage is set up. I have yet to have the work done on the front sidewalk and porch but look forward to the fix.

Thanks to Alpha Foundations for helping lift and stabilize our house. The overall experience was really great. We have a very large home, and the team did an amazing job. The house was not level, and different areas were at different elevations. In the end, they lifted it by about 8 inches or more. A special thank you to Batuhan — he stayed in touch the entire time, answered all of our questions, and didn’t just try to sell the project. He was honest about all possible situations and the challenges we might face. The pier crew was incredible — I honestly fell in love with their work. They were very detail-oriented, kept everything as clean as possible, worked fast, and always arrived on time. Foreman Dylan discussed everything with us, was very polite, and clearly knew what he was doing. You can tell they work as a strong team. The poly crew was also amazing. They worked cleanly and carefully — you can barely see where they drilled unless you really look closely. Both crews worked together as much as needed to achieve the final result. If these guys are working on your project, you can be sure you’re in good hands. And to future customers — please be kind and polite to them, offer them some cold water or coffee. Management, please consider getting them massage memberships — they work incredibly hard, and I can’t imagine how much strain they put on their backs and muscles.
