We had our garage floor leveled and cracks filled and a basement wall waterproofed (gutter system with pump and wall seal) in Minneapolis in 2024. Both projects were done by people who take pride in their work and strive for the best outcome. Our garage floor was in sad shape, and Andrew spent extra time to get it as level as could be and filled the many cracks thoroughly. One side of the garage went up 4 inches to make it level again. As for our basement, Jeremiah T, Dion R, and Jaden R did a great job installing the gutter system under the floor with the pump, drainage, and wall seal membrane that went with it.

We just bought a house, and literally every single metal pier in the crawlspace was rusted out. Bay Are Underpinning came in and did an awesome job. Their inspector Aaron was super thorough in assessing the damage and explained everything in detail. Then, the repair crew of Eric, Jesus, and Andrew came in and knocked out the entire job in a day — a huge relief considering we had a ton of other work we need to get done before moving in. The work is not cheap, but they offer financing options and stand by their work, so I feel very good about the entire job.

Jared Brown, my project manager, inspected the problems and got a plan in motion within days of calling. He helped me with any questions I had (even after completion) and kept the project goals reasonable. Once construction started (busy season, month delay) they were done within a few days. An excellent experience starting with Cody. He was thorough in his inspection, provided a ton of pictures to go along with his findings, and offered options suitable for my budget. He went above and beyond, to explain that the products were safe for children. The team, Oscar P, Paulino L., and Bryant V., were amazing. It was the coldest week of the year, and the last couple of days it rained. But they did not let it deter them and completed the work on time. The end result looks great. After they were finished, they took the time to walk me through everything they had done, showed me the pictures they took throughout the process, and asked if I had any questions now or later to reach out to them. I received a phone call every morning of what they were setting out to accomplish, and every evening of what they actually accomplished. You will not be disappointed with Dry-Pro. I highly recommend.

This is the second time I've used this company. This time was for crawlspace encapsulation including a pump and a dehumidifier. There was a lot of junk under my house that I wasn't aware of that John Murphey and Robert Marquez pulled out. When that week was done, they didn't leave anything in the yard. I crawled around under the house and found the job to be incredibly well done. Everything is sealed up and under control. Robert and Francisco Munoz were just here connecting the pump and plumbing the discharge pipes. Looks clean and well done.

We called Christian Distler-Caravetta with JES because of concern for a beam that my husband saw in our crawl space. He came out and was honest and gave us a rest-assurance that the beam was actually not in danger of catastrophically being compromised. He gave us great options and professionally measured areas in our crawl space for if we desired to replace the beam, but ultimately guided us to save our money. Had a drainage system and sump pumps installed inside my basement. The results were very good and the sump pumps are doing their job well. My only remark would be that the demolition of existing walls and studs could’ve been done a little more carefully, making repair and replacement easier. I would recommend this company.

Great work deserves high praise, and I have nothing but high praise for Ohio Basement Authority (“OBA”) and, in particular, the individuals that performed my work. I worked with the folks at their Cincinnati office on push pier installation and poly injection to stabilize and correct a foundation settlement issue on my house. Although I interviewed three different companies specializing in this type of work, I was most impressed with OBA for many reasons and ultimately decided to go with OBA, a decision which I am glad that I made. I initially met with Mark Overmyer for the initial evaluation and proposed solution to correct my foundation issue. Right from the start I was really impressed with Mark’s straightforward and comprehensive explanation of the services I would need….Mark is an engineer and even showed me the exact point where my home was starting to settle using his transit and other tools, which helped explain the number and location of push piers needed. His precision and thoroughness really impressed me. However, there were other things that made me decide to use OBA. For example, I found OBA’s contract to be fair and balanced when compared to my review of competitor contracts. Also, OBA does things by the book and got the necessary permits….that unfortunately may not necessarily always the case with other companies. I also spoke to other OBA customers and they had nothing but great things to say about OBA and how pleased they are with the work they performed. I definitely liked OBA’s product warranty and the fact that, unlike some companies, OBA does not charge an excess per foot additional charge should a pier exceed a specific depth, which could really increase the project cost should it occur. The fact that OBA does what it takes to install piers at whatever depth so required to be solid and stable and at no additional charge gave me much peace of mind. The OBA folks on the front end for sales and contracting were excellent to work with, but the actual individuals on the installation crew were even more so and absolutely outstanding in every respect. I had a crew comprised of Sean (the foreman), Elisha and Simon doing the push piers. For the poly injection part of the job I had a crew comprised of Seth (the foreman) and his colleague (sorry but I can’t recall his name). It is rare to see such a hard-working and conscientious group of workers. The moment they arrived, they impressed me with how professional and customer-oriented they were, and it was that way throughout the job. All of the great things I had heard from others about OBA when I was doing my research definitely played out on my job with these individuals. Unfortunately, the Google rating system is only five stars for the highest rating, but these fellows deserve at least eight or ten stars on a five star rating system. I found OBA to be a fine company to do business with, and the individuals I dealt with from there on every stage of the project were exceptional and did a fine job of representing OBA as a company.

Jonah leading the crawlspace team were likewise extremely hard-working polite they explained things to me and we’re very professional. And lastly, the team that came and did the poly were in and out of here you couldn’t even tell it they left the space so neat and clean they got to it explained what they were going to do and did it thank you everyone you were great to work with

The yard where they had to dig trenches was returned to previous if not better state. David Hall, John Prillaman and Jerome Highter as far as I can tell now did a great job.

FSS helped me with a warehouse in New Braunfels that had significant foundation settling. They were able to lift the troublesome areas up a little bit and stabilize the rest of the foundation. Initial results are good, but the true test will be how it holds up over the next several years. The foreman, Earle C, was proactive with communicating each step of the process, and giving me plenty of heads up whenever he and the crew were on their way. I had initially contacted AFS to do an assessment on raising the concrete on one side of my 2-car garage entrance way. While onsite I asked Neal Collins to inspect the crawl space under my condominium. Neal did a thorough job (to include photo's) of showing me where the foundation is sagging and the existence of mold. He gave a detailed description of what AFS could do to raise the foundation and help eliminate the mold issue. Since I'm doing a major renovation of the condominium, money is a big factor – but I will very likely have the mold remediation done by AFS. My thanks to Neal for the complete inspection and explanation of work to be done.

He took me through the steps he was going through to find my problem. I am so grateful that he found the problem before I paid money to get it resolved. We found that my sprinkler system has been leaking and that is the problem . I am fixing it now , without having to do much digging. Thank you Ground works for your competent and helpful inspector.
