I had a rent house come vacant and am in process of doing some repairs to get it ready to sell. I noticed some cracks in the stemwall on one side of the house. I contacted Groundworks to inspect it. A gentleman named Dylan came by and did a thorough inspection and gave me a proposal for peering the wall. I signed a contract and gave him a deposit. The next day he called me to inform me that it would be over two months out. I told him I had a problem with the timeline and he said he would see if anything could be done to shorten the lead time. In the meantime I contacted another company and they said they could do the work quickly and gave me a quote. Groundworks came back with a start date much quicker. The other company's proposal was much cheaper. Groundworks warranty and quality of product is very impressive but since I am selling the property keeping the cost down I important. If it were going to be my long term home I would have gone with them. The other company I chose was highly recommended. I would give Groundworks a 5 star rating. They are great to work with.

From start to finish, Groundworks provided great work. I am a new homeowner, learning about the woes of maintaining a home. Unfortunately, the foundation on my 1960s house was affecting the ability to close my front door. Daniel Raymond gave me a free, but very thorough inspection of the foundation repairs needed on my home. I was pleased to find out Groundworks offers financing without interest. I probably could have found a more affordable company, but I felt comfort in knowing that the piers have a life time warranty and the foam a 5 year warranty. When the day came to get started on the foundation work, it began to snow. Dakota (structural foreman), Philip (co-foreman) and Jose (installer) still showed up on time and got to work. Although they did not get everything done due to the weather, they returned on Saturday (their day off) to finish where they left off. I especially appreciated that they returned to re-cement a few areas where the mailman and stray cats stepped on. Very sweet of them. On a separate day, "the poly guys" came to inject the foam inside and outside my house. Joe (poly foreman) and Alejandro (installer) explained the process before and as they were injecting the foam. For each section, they made sure I was happy with the results. My pups loved them! Communication throughout the whole process was excellent. I was able to call/text any of the foremen and inspector directly about any questions or concerns I had.I recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for quality and reliable foundation repair.

Alix responded almost immediately, prepared the quote, explained it all and assisted with financing. Great. Then Anatoli showed up on schedule with a small team. An incredible physical performance in explaining what they would do, performing it all for removal, remediation and installation preparation for new concrete. Throughout, the professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and work ethic was outstanding, every day, all day from all of them. The concrete sub-contractor did a good job as well. Then the follow-up began to ensure everything was beyond expectation, which it was. An incredible performance from first contact to days after the completion. Joshua Gaddy came to fix where the pipe coming out of the house was cut off and not taken care of properly to keep water from coming back in the house and letting the sump pump run every 15 seconds. Temporary fix and said someone would be back to fix it in the spring when the ground wasn't frozen. Your company needs something better than heat tapes for the pipe not freezing, after all we live in Michigan. Cam was told by someone to cut it off but not what to do so water wouldn't gush out on the ground right next to my house with no place to go. Joshua did the best he could for now. I wasn't happy with the problem, being I spent so much to keep water out and ruining my foundation. The job was done nicely until the pipe froze.

Our house is 85 years old and has some cracking on the stucco, so I called for a free inspection to see if the problems were something we need to be concerned about. Daniel, our inspector, was prompt and friendly and explained everything he was doing and seeing as he took measurements and inspected the foundations. He said that while there are things we can do for earthquake retrofitting (and he did recommend a separate company for that if we wanted to do it) our problems were mostly cosmetic and nothing to worry about. He also took his measurements to be scanned in at his office and kept on file so that we can have him back out for another inspection in the future to compare, again, purely at our discretion. He was respectful, friendly, and straightforward and answered all of my questions. I'd definitely recommend them.

I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, but I have never had a better experience than I had with Baker's Waterproofing. We had water leaking into our basement from the floor due to hydrostatic pressure. Steve Cahl, our salesman did a thorough inspection and gave us a detailed explanation with a video of what was causing the problem was how Baker's would fix it. After we agreed on the contract, he told us what to expect, the date the job would begin, what time the craftsmen would show up, and how long the project would take. Everything he said was true. Their communication leading up to and during the job was exceptional. Steve always returned my calls immediately when I had questions. The gentlemen who did the work – Tyler Barnhart (foreman), Joey Pickard, and Brandon Miller were incredibly polite, pleasant and unbelievably hard working.Tyler called me the day before, and each morning to let me know what time they would arrive. They not only showed up on time, they were early both days! The job was finished in a day and a half. Their expertise was clearly evident in the quality and timeliness of their work. And their work is guaranteed for life with a transferrable warranty. Thank you, gentlemen, for a very positive experience! You rock!

Truly, I didn’t know that there was so much junk in my crawl space to be removed. Nonetheless, all loose items were removed.The installation to include removing junk was a full three days. Pool deck was several inches uneven in multiple places across the entire end (oak trees are beautiful, but roots go where they want) Brandon arrived and assessed the damage and explained the process. Date for work was set and o Ryan and Jared arrived on time and Piers were set and concrete was moving. Watching this happen was amazing. Before they were done, Hunter and Brad arrived and placed their equipment and setup ready to push the foam in just a short amount of time. Concrete moving, foam filling spaces, piers supporting and job is excellent and exactly what was needed. Dollars well spent to get a professional, guaranteed job correcting major issues with concrete pool deck. This is a second, and a very different use, but the same experience and result. Alpha Foundation has been the answer for us for sure.

Big thanks and shoutout to Aaron Flowers, Andrew Welty, and Carlos Gutierrez who flew in from the Denver, CO groundworks location to address my encapsulation job in California! All three were complete professionals while completing the project. They treated our home with respect (placed plastic to protect our floors and walls as needed), cleaned up after each work day, and kept us informed on how the job was progressing. We went with encapsulation due to each time we had heavy rain, the crawl space would get standing water/muddy (it comes up from the ground). Unfortunately we had a heavy rain storm the first couple days of the encapsulation project, and as such the crawl space turned into a muddy mess. Aaron, Andrew and Carlos would come out of the crawl space looking like they had just completed a mud wrestling match. They kept a positive attitude, and pushed through the challenges of the muddy crawl space to get the project completed. Thank you Groundworks for sending such a great crew to complete my project!

A couple of years ago, I had my basement waterproofed, and I truly wish I had reviewed the incredible company sooner. First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt e-flowers to everyone involved. The team who carried out the waterproofing work was nothing short of amazing. They were punctual, efficient, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. Yes, the jackhammering and dust were a bit overwhelming, but it's a small price to pay for the fantastic results I received. My basement has never been in better shape, and for that, I am immensely grateful. Thank you! Regarding the annual maintenance service, Archie, my technician, is an absolute gem. He epitomizes professionalism in every sense of the word. Archie is incredibly thorough with his work, never in a rush, and always takes the time to point out things I should keep an eye on. Thanks to his keen eye and expertise, we managed to catch an issue with my water heater early on, saving me from potential headaches down the road. I can't emphasize enough how much peace of mind the annual maintenance contract brings me. Knowing that Archie and Basement Technologies are on the job ensures that my now beautifully finished basement will remain dry and in top condition. I have to say, the names are a little confusing: 1-800 Busy Dog aka Basement Technologies and now Groundworks. No matter what they’re called, I have and will continue to recommend this company to anyone I know who needs waterproofing solutions for their home. Ain't sure I'm posting this right but Josh, Brendan, and Lee did an excellent job with the place. I know the foundation was a wreck but they worked with me every step and worked around the various hiccups that came about during the on site work, cant recommend them enough. Absolute saints frankly, house don't wobble when I walk now.
