Sometimes you get a bad crew, a small group of ne'er do wells who simply don't perform. It happens. It happened to us. However once upper management found out what was going on they didn't hesitate to swoop in and make everything right, and that at a substantial cost to themselves. Concrete work is bloody expensive no matter the size of the job and, although we're just one small residential account, we were taken seriously and all repairs were done professionally and at our convenience. I can't praise these people enough for how they chose to behave when the chips were down, and I highly recommend them both for their skill and their commitment.

We recently had Foundation Recovery Systems out to fix our foundation. I wanted to express how impressed we were with the whole process. We had a few bids, one in which the company stated they would need almost three weeks to to finish the work. Not only did Foundation Recovery Systems fix our issue but they did it in a day and a half at almost half the price of the other bids we had received. I want to make sure that the gentlemen who did the work get the recognition they deserve as well because they were all phenomenal. The inspector who came to visit us was Hunter Herbst. I explained to him what we were needing, told him of the other bids and the proposals we had received. He did not try to up sell me, was not pushy in any way and put together a plan that best fit what we needed. The three gentlemen who came out to do this back breaking work were Greg Harvey, Dillon Sults-Evans and Josh Cummings. All three were highly professional. They worked fast and efficient and when they left, beyond the work they completed, you couldn't even tell they were there. Our basement was spotless. They also have pretty good taste in music as well. I could not recommend this company higher, if you are needing foundation repair make sure to reach out to them.

They have fun while handling a scary job. We did encapsulation and they were positive about the project, I liked them so much that I asked the Pro Desk at Home Depot to add them to the list of preferred providers! So know you to know the final results? The crawl space looks amazing and all those future problems will no longer be an issue! Rhett Stephens, Certified Field Inspector, from AFS visited a couple days ago. He was very thorough in his examination of my basement and crawl space, even carefully inspecting the outside of the home, grading, gutters and downspouts. He explained all of his findings and concerns EXTREMELY well. Yes, I capitalized extremely because I ask a lot of questions to ensure I fully understand. He handled all my questions with grace and patience. I had two other well known companies come out as well, there is no comparison to be made. He answered all of my questions, even follow up questions by text and gave a timely estimate for repairs. He’s very friendly, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable in his field. Definitely recommend!!!

Jeff came out for a free inspection of our family room which is the ground level of a raised ranch. Jeff was pleasant and very knowledgeable, he spent 2 hours reviewing how the moisture was coming up from our foundation. He presented a few solutions on how to repair the problem. We did not commit to a solution yet, Jeff was a pleasure to work with, I did not feel any pressure to make a commitment before he left.

Joe Weber, Altoona Bible Institute Our insurance company informed us that the sidewalk of our Bible Institute was in need of repair. We called Groundworks to see if they worked in Altoona pa and if they were able to help us. From the first call to the completion of the project communication was great and questions were answered promptly. When it came time for the job to be done Aaron Lenker and Matt Engel were very courteous, competent and prompt. They completed the job quickly and cleaned the job site completely. His entire approach gave me the confidence that he is very knowledgeable and understands what is necessary. Working with Groundworks has been absolutely fantastic. The Field Inspector Alen was extremely informative and understanding of the issues we were having. He was able to work with us on getting the right project and details set for our needs. Foreman Roger and Crewmember Juan were punctual, professional, and fast while doing a fantastic job. They gave me the same warning Alen did about my pavers possibly lifting. I had not issue because I’d much rather fix that than have my previously expensive project go in the trash and slide down our hillside. Instead, the finished project came out better than expected, rarely any lifting, only one spot where the foam came up but I’ve covering that area anyways, and very clean and thoroughly produced. I cannot recommend Groundworks enough at this point and will definitely be using them in the future. 5* to all of their workers.

The Crew at Jes from the Salesperson to the Crew that did the Foundation correction did an excellent Job. Supervisor Santos Cruz, and mechanics Corey Markie and Lucus Butista were top notch, polite, professional, and skilled. This is the first time I have had a contractor/job supervisor keep me informed throughout the job at every stage, and actually do what they said they were going to do exactly. Santos Cruz answered any question I had in person by phone or text. Santos Cruz responded every time, and actually offered information to make sure all parties understood the entire process they were doing. Cannot say anything else except Jes and the people mentioned, did an excellent job and I would use them again for sure.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Ohio Basement Authority! From the very beginning, they made the entire process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Scheduling my appointment was easy as can be, and I really appreciated receiving a prompt appointment confirmation that kept me in the loop. On the day of the appointment, Chase and Chelsa were fantastic. They arrived right on time, which I truly value working from home and in meetings most of the day. They were thorough and professional, taking the time to carefully check both the inside and outside of my home to identify any potential issues. What I appreciated most was their thorough and honest consultation and recommendations for how to best handle some of the issues they found. I would definitely recommend having them come out to do an inspection if you think you need work done. When I got quotes from 4 different companies, they were the only ones to use equipment to show me what needed work and help answer all of my concerns. Andrew did a great job doing my initial inspection and quote. He was very thorough and even waited for me to ask advice from family before making a decision. They also had a competitive price. It was reasonable for the work they were doing, but a little cheaper than a couple of the companies. Overall, I am very satisfied with their work.

We recently had work completed by Tarheels Basement systems . They installed floor supports and an I beam under our home that we purchased and discovered did not have proper supports on a load bearing area of our home. Justin H , Demarte, and Quentin were punctual, professional, and polite . They were attentive to detail and preserving our property. Justin communicated their eta and they arrived right on time . He greeted me with a smile and walked me through the install information clearly . They took care to prevent any damage during the lift process. His crew worked cohesively and quickly and were very informative. Dan Williams, Project Manager Extraordinaire for Foundation Recovery Systems, earns my vote of approval as THE BEST. He was patient, thoughtful, considerate, well-versed about his product, knowledgeable in his field, personable and most of all sincere and honest. No pressure to buy tactics were used. He was insistent that I understood the entire process as we moved along. I’m almost 82, a former teacher for 40 plus years, and well aware that I no longer think as quickly as I used to nor do I process the information being presented first time thru. That’s frustrating to me and has to be challenging to a salesman to work with someone like me. Not once did Dan make me feel like I was “slow.” He did have to return to my house a 2nd time as I decided to add “downspout burials” to the original contract plus change the initial payment plan. This added probably added at least 6 hours to his day, yet he made no reference to the inconvenience and remained calm, cool, and confidant. I, on the other hand was close to becoming unglued. 🤪There is no doubt in my mind that this guy loves his job and believes in his company. Dan Williams needs to be recognized. He IS a winner.
