I had my addition room foundation repaired this week. Jeremiah, Christopher and Roberto did an excellent job on installing 7 exterior piers and 2 interior piers. The communication was awesome they called me 48hrs before they were coming and everyday there eta every morning they were coming out. The crew was very patient answering all my questions as they proceeded with the project and any concerns I had.. They cleaned great after they finished the project. I would recommend Groundworks in the future for foundation repairs.

I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, but I have never had a better experience than I had with Baker's Waterproofing. We had water leaking into our basement from the floor due to hydrostatic pressure. Steve Cahl, our salesman did a thorough inspection and gave us a detailed explanation with a video of what was causing the problem and how Baker's would fix it. After we agreed on the contract, he told us what to expect, the date the job would begin, what time the craftsmen would show up, and how long the project would take. Everything he said was true. Their communication leading up to and during the job was exceptional. Steve always returned my calls immediately when I had questions. The gentlemen who did the work – Tyler Barnhart (foreman), Joey Pickard, and Brandon Miller were incredibly polite, pleasant and unbelievably hard working.Tyler called me the day before, and each morning to let me know what time they would arrive. They not only showed up on time, they were early both days! The job was finished in a day and a half. Their expertise was clearly evident in the quality and timeliness of their work. I had several companies over the last 30 years do work in my crawlspace to correct the problems of excessive moisture and mold which was affecting the air quality in the living area of the house. Also the high humidity levels were causing decay on some of the floor joists and fungal growth on ALL of the floor joists. The treatments that these companies tried were ineffective. I wanted to solve these problems once and for all. I contracted with AFS and they did the following did the following work: 1. Installed underground drainage around the inside perimeter of the foundation wall. 2. Removed the fiberglass insulation between the floor joists and applied a fungicide to eliminate the mold and mildew. 3. Sistered the rotting floor joists with new wood. 4. Installed a new steel beam underneath the rotting floor joists even though they had just been sistered. This guarantees that the floor above will never sag. 5. Installed four new piers on the inside of the lowest point of the crawl space to prevent any of the foundation from sinking. 6. Installed a sump pump that drained to the outside and away from the foundation. 7. Installed a commercial grade dehumidifier. 8. Those are the major items but there may be a few other things that I am not remembering. The crew did an excellent job and was in an out in just three workdays. I am certainly well pleased with thew work which they did and would like to single out Alex the crew leader and Jacob who was one of the workers. There were sometimes four workers on the crew and those men also did an excellent job. The new crawl space is truly a thing of beauty. This was an expensive job and the question that you would ask is, "Was it worth it?" The answer to that question can't honestly be answered for many years. But judging from both the high quality of the products used and the high quality craftsmanship of the workers, I feel confident that final answer will be, "Yes, it was worth it!"

Installing 2 sump pumps, a water barrier, cutting a trench in the concrete for a French drain, and burying the exit pipe outside to make it as indiscreet as possible in the front of our historic home. Their communication throughout the entire project was excellent- they filled us in on and showed us what they were doing every step of the way. They treated our home like it was their own, taking extra time to make sure the work looks excellent, cleaning up after themselves, and even going the extra mile to blow all of the leaves off of the sidewalk in front of our house to not track them in! We couldn’t recommend Luis and his crew enough!

I would like to thank Stephen, Alex and his crew, Matt, and Parris for all that they did. Everything was professional and you could have not asked for anymore. It all started from the Quote till the finished product, very professional. They answered all my questions and explained it to a tee. The whole process lasted 3 days, every part of the process was weel communicated withe time and estimates on completion. AFS should be very proud of the personnel they have working for them. GREAT JOB !!!!!

The inspector Derek came to look at our house. We had been noticing cracks in some of the walls and were worried about its evolution. Derek came on a Saturday morning at 9h. He was very communicative before calling to confirm. He showed up on time and clearly explained the process. Derek took his time looking at the outside of the house, doing floor level measurements and then investigating the crawl space. He was here a total of over 4h so it was a very detailed inspection. Derek then explained the possible solution (push piers) and laid out the cost. It is not cheap but in line with expectations. Groundworks also offers financing which is a convenience. Derek took detailed pictures and shared them. The experience so far has been great. We still need to decide when we would do the work but I would definitely recommend getting an inspection if you are concerned about your foundation. The sales tactics are obviously there but not pushy and the information provided is valuable whatever you decide to do. We haven't yet done the work so will update the review if and when we proceed. This review is just for the inspection.

Scott was great to work with. As a first time homeowner foundation issues were overwhelming, but he took the time to explain everything thoroughly so I could understand what was going on. I was having cracks in my walls and bouncy floors. Scott did a very detailed inspection, taking pictures, measuring moisture in the crawl space, checking the floor levels for settlement, and so much more. He even spoke with members of my support system who live out of town so they could understand the situation as well. He was the second contractor I had come out, and his inspection was much more thorough than the first. I highly recommend asking for Scott. He truly went above and beyond!

Wanted to shout out Trent Baker, Cole Barbaras and Chester Werkheiser for doing an excellent job of installing a French drain and sump pump in my basement. Trent explained everything to me and kept me updated on the progress. Work was completed in one day and did they did an awesome job of cleaning up when done. Highly recommend these guys to help with your leaky water/moisture needs.

We had Groundworks out to give us an estimate on insulating our crawl space a few weeks ago. They initially told us they were booked until March. They were very flexible on the services we wanted, and we decided to go with this company. They were able to come out much sooner, which was great because we really needed this done. James, Rory and Geoffrey came out and did a great job installing the insulation. Our crawl space was not easy to work in and we really appreciate the way they stuck with it!

Darin DeRosa was the Field Inspector who provided the diagnosis of our foundational issue. Darin was professional and highly qualified to perform the inspection and provide expert information to us. While the news was not what we wanted to hear, Darin gave us a detailed explanation and answered all of our questions and concerns. He also provided a solution that is the most minimally invasive which we appreciated. I want to mention that Darin also explained the long-term effects of what could happen if we choose not to move forward with the repairs. I would not hesitate to use Ohio Basement Authority for this repair and would recommend this company to anyone who might be experiencing foundational issues or suspect they have foundational issues.
