The real measure of a company is not how they behave when all is well, but how they treat their customers when everything goes pear-shaped; and that's exactly what happened in our case. Sometimes you get a bad crew, a small group of ne'er do wells who simply don't perform. It happens. It happened to us. However once upper management found out what was going on they didn't hesitate to swoop in and make everything right, and that at a substantial cost to themselves. Concrete work is bloody expensive no matter the size of the job and, although we're just one small residential account, we were taken seriously and all repairs were done professionally and at our convenience. I can't praise these people enough for how they chose to behave when the chips were down, and I highly recommend them both for their skill and their commitment.

Adrian Haynes, Field Representative, came to our house and professional analyzed our foundation issues and gave us a solution to stabilized it against future drift. Based upon his detailed analysis their engineers drafted a blueprint, set a date for repairs and acquired the appropriate approvals from the proper government agencies. The repair work was expertly completed by Audiel Soria (Crew chief) and his experienced team in two half days. We had to repair or replace a 18×20 ft concrete patio at our condo that had a major crack, and I got three companies to give me an estimate- two of them were going to just remove the old patio and re-pour the patio. The AFS estimator showed me exactly what had caused the problem – the ground on one side had sunk due to moisture, and showed me a video of their foam process which lifts the concrete back into place and is ready to use after 15 minutes. The work is guaranteed for 5 years and the warranty is transferable to a new owner. The price quoted was less than half of one of the concrete replacement quotes that I was considering. The two technicians that performed the work were very professional and did the entire repair, including cleanup, in less than an hour. They took great care to ensure that the concrete was completely level and that the crack was filled and covered. I was very pleased with the entire process and will use them again in the future if any other foundation or concrete problems occur.

Jake came out and did an inspection. He went over the issues and described exactly what needed to be done. I thought the qoute was quit reasonable. Ben and Israel came out and got the job done in one day. They were very knowledgeable and courteous and Ben explained what was done and showed me pictures of the new supports. I knew I would eventually remodel, but after inspecting the crawl space, I discovered the north wall had begun to cave in. This house was built in 1950 by my grandfather, so repairing and preserving it was very important to me. FRS did a great job. One unexpected expense came up after the original quote, but they split the cost of the additional work, and I truly appreciated their fairness and transparency. I called Groundworks to upgrade the sump system in my basement. Jim Beatty came out to give me an estimate. He gave my house a thorough look and then provided me with a solution. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The install team came out about a week or so later to install the new system. Nasir was the crew leader and had 2 co workers with him, but I don’t remember there names. I was extremely impressed by their work ethic. These guys came in and didn’t stop until the job was done. They were very professional, courteous and hard working. They did a fantastic job and left the job site cleaner than how they found it. You can’t go wrong with Nasir and his 2 co workers. The work itself appears to have been done well. One concern was dust control. We had planned to remove items in adjacent rooms; however we were told it wasn’t necessary. Unfortunately, there was more dust than expected. Overall, good work, but better dust containment would improve the experience.

Today I had a free estimate done with Daniel from Mount Valley. I am writing this review solely because he left a great impression of the company! He was honest with what I did and did not need done, he was patient and kind with my dog (important), and he did not try to intimidate me as many salesmen for whatever reason have tried to do. Not to mention, he was courteous of my time and performed efficiently. They are a pricier service and I have not seen final results, hence the four-stars, however I would indeed recommend Mount Valley for professional services.

Our experience with AFS Huntsville was nothing less than wonderful. We bought an older home several months ago. Due to some issues discovered after moving in, we decided we needed a more thorough inspection of our crawlspace area. After a little research, we decided to reach out to AFS. Bret Carroll came out for the inspection. He provided photos of our current situation in addition to videos and a detailed explanation of what would be needed to help improve our crawlspace. He was not your typical “salesman”. He provided the facts and a quote, then we made an informed decision on how to proceed. Exactly five days later, an amazing crew – Blaise Slydell, Derrius Green, and Gage Dullea – arrived and got straight to work. Blaise kept us up to date on each day’s progress. They were punctual as well as professional and very easy to work with. We could not have asked for a better crew. We would definitely recommend AFS to friends and family!

The team was extremely professional and took the time to explain every step of the process in detail, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I had over six slabs in my driveway that needed polyjacking, along with a downspout that required attention and needed barried. They handled everything flawlessly and the results turned out phenomenal. A big shoutout to Jesse Barron (Foreman) and Cameron (Co-Foreman) for their leadership and attention to detail throughout the job. As a single person, I put off this project for fear I would get taken as there are so many horror stories. These guys were up front, including Mason who bid the job, kind and informative. They arrived when they said they would and exceeded expectations for my project. Even when the project time exceeded projections they worked on into the evening and on their Saturday. Took as much time as needed with us to make sure we were fully knowledgeable about all the issues that our new house had with water intrusion and structural issues. Was able to give us a quote the same day and even offered financing through a third party. Would recommend him to anyone buying a house or looking to fix water issues entirely. My father has experience in home building and home inspections and was very impressed with him and his information and processes. I will definitely have AFS do the work and trust them as a company now.
