I would like to say my meeting with Alex Parker-a specialist with AFS-, was a great experience. I thought I might be having some foundation problems with my home. I googled and found AFS. I made a call and spoke with Katrina. She was quite pleasant to speak with, very mannerly and really understanding. She asked a few questions and immediately wanted to set an appointment the very next day. Shortly after I hung up the phone, Alex Parker gave me a call. He was the gentleman that was coming to do my inspection. I really was anxious on how the meeting and inspection would go…afraid I would be talked into something very expensive, mainly because I didn't know if I had issues or not. Needless to say, Alex was very thorough in his inspection. (almost 2 hours)…He came back in the house wanting to show me the pics he had taken and he was very quick to set my fears at rest….nothing majorly wrong. I immediately thanked MY JESUS for answered prayer. I also let him know I had been praying so hard that there would not be an expensive situation that I could not afford. I learned that Alex also led his life pleasing the Lord as well as his customers. I would recommend Alex Parker anytime to someone looking for foundation, concrete repair or waterproofing. After evaluating the situation, Bill quickly determined that the issue wasn't with the concrete itself, but with drainage problems causing the sinking. Instead of recommending unnecessary work to fix the concrete, which would likely sink again, he advised me to first address the downspouts to prevent further damage. I called Brice at Innovative Basement and told him my entire long theory on what I thought was happening.He was incredibly patient and said that could be happening but quite unlikely, please let me take a look.He drove up to Duluth from Rush City and put my mind at ease when he said, this is super simple, you only need two supports installed.My vision of having to have the house lifted to the tune of 6 figures was put to rest. I had another company take a look and they agreed to assessment but wanted $2000 more for the work. We had three projects completed recently in our basement. Chris was our first contact who assessed the needs and he provided full information and recommendations for the work required. Andrew and his crew came in first to install a sump and a radon mitigation system. Michael then came in to repair a crack in the foundation. All technicians were friendly, well prepared, experienced and professional. They all thoroughly explained everything they would be doing and answered any questions we had. We are doing some renovations to our house and decided that in order to do them, we finally needed to address the obvious foundation repairs necessary to do them correctly. I performed a Google search for foundation repair companies in the Houston area. Foundation Support Specialist was able to schedule me for that very same day. Brian Erb was the field inspector assigned to give our house an inspection and estimate for foundation repair. We received notification about 20 minutes prior to his scheduled time by text messages and a phone call, stating that he was on his way. Brian arrived precisely at his scheduled time and was courteous and friendly. After he introduced himself and told us about his company Groundworks (formerly Foundation Support Specialist), he went over a checklist with us to get some history of our home. Afterwards he explained how he would be inspecting our house and what exactly he was looking for. He got to work and was very thorough and professional during his inspection. He measured and drew up a scale diagram of our house, then proceeded to use his Ziplevel to take altitude measurements of the floor throughout our house. His measurements showed that our foundation had sunk almost 2" on the NW corner of our house. He showed us a slideshow on why foundations settle, common practices to repair, and how Groundworks repairs foundations. When he was done, he gave us 3 levels of estimates. A minimal necessary repair, A mid range estimate, and a high end estimate that included extra piers on the SE corner to help support the opposite side of the slab from the repairs. He explained what each level included and answered any questions we had. Brian spent about 2 hours with us and all in all it was a pleasant experience. We have 2 more companies coming out in the next week to give us estimates, and unless they use a similar pier into bedrock system and drastically lower price, we will most likely choose Groundworks for our repairs.

He completed a proactive service check on our sump system and basement liners, thoroughly tested all water ports, flood-tested the sump, and replaced an aging battery before it became a problem. He also found that our current dehumidifier had an issue getting rid of moisture which was causing our mold problem, explaining how the downtime had affected basement humidity and addressing it with a replacement. Everything was handled efficiently and transparently. Highly recommend Ishan and Groundworks.

I had push piers put under the foundation of my house and couldn't be more pleased with Baker's Waterproofing Company from beginning to end. I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with Matt and Chacar. They are the BEST workers I have ever seen. They worked diligently and non stop all while they were there. Chacar knew what he was doing and did it well. When he needed guidance from Matt, which was seldom, he did it quickly and without hesitation. Matt is extremely good at his job as Forman. He could be doing one thing while still noticing what the others are doing and correct what needed to be corrected. The work they were doing was very physical but they kept moving and very, very seldom ever took a break. They are also very polite and courteous and cleaned up very well when completed. I truly can't say enough good things about them. You should be extremely proud to have them on your team! I know you probably have many teams that go out to do this work and I hope they are all as good as this team. They set the standard of excellence! Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend Bakers to everyone. Please pass this on to their boss as he should know just how good these two men are, if he already doesn't. John Rousseau (salesman), Steven (foreman), Chris and Brandon (crew), were all well trained, very polite and courteous and seemed to be happily doing their jobs. They are the only company that did an inspection, although I had three estimates. All was explained so well that I understood exactly what to expect and the cost. I am very satisfied with our waterproofing from Baker’s. The whole process from start to finish went well. The inspector/salesman, Craig Dean was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He seemed very honest. Our installation crew, Chris H. (Foreman), Lamont M. and Jarrod M. did a great job. Everything was explained and demonstrated. Chris started with a walk through to tell us what was to be done, and hear our concerns. The job took a bit longer than expected, so on the second day the crew stayed until 7 pm to finish up. It looks like everything was installed correctly and neatly. The guys cleaned up the basement to the way it was before they started, which was impressive to me because they did it even though running late. And several times during the job they went beyond what was necessary to do a little extra work to help us out. My wife and I are retired and not as able as we used to be to handle heavy work, so the help was a blessing. Also the system we got is good quality and well engineered. Therefore it comes with a good warranty from Baker’s. I am confident that the system will protect our home from the water leaks we we’re having, and I am very comfortable that Baker’s will be there to stand by their work and products if anything changes. Again, it was a pleasure to work with Chris H, Lamont M. and Jarrod M. I recommend this company to anyone in need of waterproofing work.

They came out the day after Thanksgiving and explained everything they were doing that day and explained a few different options for us. Rich was very professional and easy to talk with and had answers for everything we were concerned about. They scheduled the work to be done in two weeks, and Zack and his team were thorough and got the work done the same day and left the work area clean! I would like to share my experience with Groundworks. I had the pleasure of working with Diego A., Cristian F., and Josiah W. At first, I wasn’t sure because they looked like kids. However, I was wrong they were young men. I explained the day before they were coming, my father had an appointment at the VA. Diego was so kind, he told me not to worry about anything to take my time, and they would be there once I was done. Unbeknownst to them, I saw them arriving and began watching them on my ring camera. They got there and went right to work. Please allow me to back up just a little. My apologies. Air and Drain Works were there before I even left for the VA. After returning they were still at the house. Air & Drain Works wanted to charge me $700 to dig a hole to find the drain. Long story short, I almost lost it. Groundwork ended up digging the hole as they had to dig that area up anyway. Diego said they would rather dig it up so they would ensure everything would be done correctly. That really took me back; it was the sweetest thing because he didn’t have to do that. However, it was very important to him that the job got done the right way the first time. I left for the VA, knowing we were in good hands. When we got back home, they waited to ask me about the flowerbed because they had to dig that area up. Literally, they dug up all my plants that were there and placed them nicely to the side. They even offered to place everything back the way it was. Again, I didn't expect that from them. I declined and said, "I'd take care of it myself.” The best thing about these three young men is I could tell they were enjoying what they were doing. Great communication with each other, very respectful, and genuinely cared about our needs and concerns. The last day, they cleaned everything up; in the front yard, there was no trash of any kind left behind. I know it may sound crazy, but these young men did a freaking amazing job. I’d work with them again. They all had great leadership skills, which was surprisingly because it’s usually the leader, not the case with these men. I know it may sound corny, but I’m sure their parents are so proud of them. They must be all of twenty years old to twenty-two years old. Five stars are NOT enough for them. I wish you boys nothing but the best they are lucky to have you!

We recently had the cracks in our driveway filled and sealed to prevent further deterioration and improve the overall condition of the surface. The crew worked efficiently, carefully cleaning and preparing each crack before applying the sealant to ensure a strong, lasting repair. The entire project was completed in about a day. Before the work was done, the driveway showed visible wear and uneven areas that made the surface look more aged. Now, the finished result looks noticeably more even and stable, giving the driveway a cleaner and more well-maintained appearance while also helping protect it from future damage.

We had a wonderful experience with JES. We started noticing some cracks in our walls/floors and called for a consultation. Brian was extremely thorough and explained everything that would be necessary to get things fixed. He detailed all the options for payment/financing (since foundation work is not cheap!) and helped ease our fears a little bit about completely breaking our budget. JES took care of getting all permits for us. The true reason for 5 stars, however, is Santos and his crew. They were INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond to make sure the work they did was done well. The whole team was incredibly friendly and very communicative throughout the process. There were a couple a snags at the beginning that could have been problematic, but Santos and his crew ensured that everything ran smoothly. The one thing that really stood out to us – Santos changed the original plan to make it more appealing, even though it was a little harder and more work for him. He said "if it were my house, I would want it to look nice, not the easiest solution." Highly, highly recommend if you need any foundation repair!

We had five piers installed last spring to stabilize our garage and family room. The only thing that we had to do was plant grass (they also planted grass seed before they left but I wanted to make sure it grew in thicker) and by summer ypu couldn't tell that anything had been done. They sent an inspector, Ryan Howard, back to our house today to make sure that the stabilization worked (it did). They will come back the next two years to check their work. We're very happy with the work they did and with their follow-up.

Had a GREAT Day and a GREAT Experience with Alpha Foundations today!!! Special thanks to Steven and Chris who get all the credit. Communication with Steven was "Absolute PRO"! Actually, I was both surprised and impressed with how well I was "Kept in the loop". This was a big job and investment for me. I was a bit skeptical, anxious and overwhelmend all at the same time. But Steven explained what was going on (and why) such that I became confident that we (mainly me) were doing the right thing.
