I called Brice at Innovative Basement and told him my entire long theory on what I thought was happening.He was incredibly patient and said that could be happening but quite unlikely, please let me take a look.He drove up to Duluth from Rush City and put my mind at ease when he said, this is super simple, you only need two supports installed.My vision of having to have the house lifted to the tune of 6 figures was put to rest. I had another company take a look and they agreed to assessment but wanted $2000 more for the work. I went with Brice and Innovative.Their crew of Steven W, Codi S and Zane came rolling in and I can say I don't think there is a crew that enjoys their job more, has more fun doing it and is incredibly professional, capable, respectful and put my mind to ease. Dan the "Foreman", Riley, and Reginald were a great crew working together to get my crawl space floor system stabilized to allow me to complete the remodeling of our lake home. They were on time and completed the job a day early. Dan and I work through some of the unforseen structural issues ane saved $2000.00 by eliminating one beam. The only issue was that Tom the salesman said they can level the floors but Dan right away said FSM only stabilize floors and never try to raise floors to get them level. We solved the issue by my purchase of a 20 ton bottle jack used to raise the main beam where it had broken. The home is a 125 year old lake cottage built back when main beams were put on rocks to support the structure. Overall the pricing for the project was better than Ayres Basement Co. FSM has 18 month no interest financing that helped our decision to pick FSM.

When the repairman (Chris) showed up he went over in detail the plan for the repairs. He was upfront about the difficulty of my repairs. Expectations were set and I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy job even before I contacted AFS. He was upfront and honest the entire time of the project. Were all the repairs able to be completed no, but it was not because of his effort. Concrete is not an easy item to work with when trying to do repairs. Would we have liked for everything to go perfect I think we all would, but we don’t live in a perfect world. Things happen beyond our control and Chris did everything he could to get my issues into a better place than they were before he arrived. After all was said and done they adjust the price based on what they could not fix. I would recommend AFS and Chris!

Getting piers put under your house and having it lifted is a very daunting preposition. We need to pull the trigger to try and correct some settling and also prep for future work. Luckily the team that Groundworks sent over (David, Russell, & Enrique) really made the experience as painless as possible. The entire team was super friendly the entire week they were on site, even working through some pretty gnarly weather. David did a fantastic job explain the entire process and answer any questions I had, even some of the hypothetical ones about different scenarios. During the lift they did a great job in making sure there was little stress on the house as possible, this was key for us since we had just done a bathroom and kitchen remodel not that long ago.

I can't say enough good things about Jonathan and his team. After a home fire a few months ago, money was tight, and I explained my situation to Jonathan. He was incredibly understanding and gave me several affordable options, which meant a lot during such a stressful time. We had rain coming soon, and I was worried about ruining the brand‑new carpet we had just installed. They got us scheduled quickly and finished the job before the next big storm. It poured the very next day, and thanks to their work, we had zero flooding — and still don't to this day. From the first visit to the final cleanup, the crew was professional, efficient, and kind. I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend Jonathan and his team. They did an amazing job from start to finish. Five stars all the way.

My experience with Groundworks was great-they offered the exact service I was looking for (concrete lifting) in order to stop water from pooling on a big concrete slab so that I could avoid replacing or resurfacing. Michael, the certified field inspector, was friendly and thorough. The techs, Oscar, the foreman, and Ricardo (Rick), were polite, professional, detail oriented, and good communicators. AFS is a straight-up company. From the initial inspection by Fred, to the work being completed by Dillon and his crew, I could not have expected a smoother process. The skills and professionalism of each was way beyond what was expected. Dillon explained each process in detail and answered any questions or concerns I had. The finished product resulted in a house that no longer have doors that stick when opening and closing or floors that creak when walking on them, and is once again level. The clean-up when finished was a plus. They seeded and put straw down in the yard wherever their machine had been or they had been working. We had a fairly large project completed by Groundworks. The team that worked on our house (Rene Renteria, Manuel Garcia and Lu Khin) were very professional and communicative (even our neighbors were loved them). They exceeded our expectations with their work and craftsmanship. We had several piers, beams and wall anchors put in. Rene explained everything going on each day. They worked late to get the job done. They cleaned up. They were awesome!!! Having met with and looked into a couple of other companies, it was an easy decision to go with them – and it paid off. We were given time to consider different options (not every company affords you this time …and with a big project and financial investment, we appreciated that time). They also have the best financing options we could find.

My husband and I had foundation systems of Michigan come out to do our crawlspace. The installers that came were very professional cleaned up after themselves and did a very good job. The installers names were Jonah Hamilton, Logan Dean, Bryant Dozier, and Kiko Hartley. All four of these men did a great job and were very professional. James ******* is fantastic. He quickly identified several issues in our home using advanced equipment and visual inspection. He explained the process of the crawlspace encapsulation and showed us photos so that we understood exactly what is beneath our home. He has worked very well with the contractor from ****, Wayne, who is also excellent. The two of them have agreed on several things, and will work together to try to save our subfloor we were previously told had to be ripped out. We have very scary issues with our house (mold, sagging beams from a dishwasher leak and the foundation shifting due to this). James has drawn a diagram of the house as far as he can for now. Wayne from **** is doing the same. Our HVAC must be ripped out before James can evaluate the rest of our house, but he was able to show us where we have crawlspace and where it is slab. We highly recommend this very knowledgeable and professional technician. We trust him and are grateful he and the other contractor are able to work so well together to try to help us during one of the worst nightmares of our lives. Their calm mannerisms are helping us not panic, and we know they could have padded the bill and ripped out the sub floor. Not wanting to do this shows us even more so that we can trust James to make the best decision to help us. He got down in our crawlspace that is very short in freezing weather and took photos of everything. He is dedicated and he really cares.
