Dan came out to inspect my home for some moisture along the basement walls. Thankfully, the solutions were identified and should solve the problems. Dan explained a lot to me about how lifting and stabilizing my concrete porch would help to stop water making its way to the foundation. This 5-star review is only a reflection of Jacob and his crew, including Cameron, and the job they did. We had our basement waterproofed and a sump pump installed. The crew did an awesome job and it was great working with Jacob on this. They were very professional and did the best they could on the days of a skeleton crew. If working with FSM, I would highly suggest requesting Jacob for your job. However, the scheduling and prioritization of jobs is something that needs significant improvement. Our project was supposed to be done within 4 days and it lasted 6 because 2 days were skeleton crews and 1 day was a no show due to another project. It felt like other projects or service related visits were prioritized over our project. Wish they could have been honest with us or pushed our project to a different week so it could have been prioritized.

The crew sent out to us were above amazing! Casey Bratholt gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision. He was friendly and so very helpful with answering all our questions and getting back to us when we called. The team of three that came out were awesome! They went above and beyond with our service. (They even helped us level out our deck steps with some of the 2×4 we had from our crawlspace!) Leonard Starks, Anthony Heryla, and Michael Dean were amicable, informative, and hard working! They made sure the job got done right! The encapsulation looks clean, and it is easier to move around in! We already notice a difference with our floors and heating throughout the house. Just wanted to say how extremely smooth this process was. I had my inspection with DJ, who was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions and concerns. He walked me through the whole process and we identified the areas of work. My living room floor was settling and we decided to provide additional support, along with the addition of a SumpPump. Fastforward two weeks…..Brian, Daniel, and Franco came to install and position the beams in place. They also filled any cracks that I had around the foundation of the house. The work was professional and clean. Brian and the team are top tier and did a great job walking me through the whole thing. If I need any additional work, Groundworks will be the first I call. Nikki Myers was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was kind and professional and knew her job. The crew that came to do the actual work were from St. Louis – Drake was their "foreman". They came all the way from St. Louis to help with back log of work for Fort Wayne, IN. They did the job and kept me informed as to what was happening with each step. Pocket digging and backfilling is the way to go. That's what they did on the back of the house. The east end and front of the house, they dug a trench and then backfilled – leaving quite a mess for elderly people to have to contend with, but I guess that's all part of it. Photos show back of house after backfill – not too bad, we can handle that. The other pic is the front of the house and the east end is even worse – not sure how we're going to tackle that. But our house is stable and it's warranted for life. Thanks Ground works!

This person never showed up. Was he even with JES or was someone trying to scam me in some way? I searched his phone number online and nothing came up.

Starting with Mark walking us through what the needs were to solve our foundation leaking and cracking…he was very professional, knowledgeable and talked with us in terms we could understand. The work crew of Daniel Johnson, Sofia Gick and Stacey Scott were very kind in explaining exactly what they were going to do and even helped correct some of the areas we failed to prepare in advance for the installation. Sofia maintained constant communication with me as I couldn't be at the job site due to work. She even made accommodations for meeting with my disabled mom when a form needed a signature…Thanks Sofia. The whole crew took the time to explain what they had done as modifications had to be made to the plan once they were on site. Just a great experience! We had talked with a local excavation contractor about the job. I'm so very glad we went with JES! The price may be more but the professionalism and kindness of Mark, Daniel, Sofia and Stacey was definitely worth it. We are having JES Foundations do another job at my grandfather's house. They're that good!

Estimator ***** – I wish I could offer more than 5 stars. Joe Le Bel is the most professional tradesman I've met in a long time. Others are good too, but Joe is the gold standard. He sat with me to ask what I was concerned about and what was important to my family. Who does that???? Oh yeah, Joe did. So comforting. Joe was professional and respectful of our space. Was careful to be conscientious about where he placed his gear, tools and instruments. Super clean going under the house without tracking dirt and debris back into the house. (The inspectors from HomeGuard could definitely take notes on this!) Then, once Joe finished, he sat down with us and talked us through all the different aspects off his inspection. I was extremely pleased with the work that the men from JES foundation did. We had water seeping into our basement and they came and installed a french drain and also did some work with our gutters to extend them far out. Abdul W. found a root from a bush that was pushing against the wall and cut it off so it would not be an issue. He was very informative and educated me as the work was being done and pointed out problem areas they were going to fix along the way. The other men, Nilhon R. and Walter F. The men did a great job overall and cleaned up all of the mess afterward and I would highly recommend them.

Our experience with AFS was excellent! Our consultation was with Tim. We were comfortable with his plan to address the issues with our foundation. Our work crew was Victor, Antonio and Ubaldo. They were professional and kind. I spoke mostly with Victor and he was patient while he took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. Very knowledgeable about the issues we had and the corrections. As a bonus, the work was scheduled to take two days and it was complete at the end of day one. I definitely recommend!

Tim Hooper, FSM Service Technician assisted with an assessment of the water system and dehumidifier that FSM installed in our home to that the humidifier is in the correct place and will have efficient ventilation before finishing our basement. While he was at my home for this task, he noticed the cracks on my driveway and offered several options to save the driveway and options to fix the large cracks. I have a 125 year old house. The house has been neglected for 50 years. Last year, Ground Works installed 7 posts in my basement to stabilize the house (its on a big hill). They came back this year to check that all was well and found that it was NOT. They then reinstalled the posts and a wall in the basement that was bowing. They worked REALLY hard. They had planned to work and accomplish the fix in 2 days but it took them 4 days and they worked all day everyday (including Saturday). Joseph actually tore his rotator cuff banging away on the rocks around my house. Jeremy took over for poor Joseph and Martin finished up the job on Monday. They were pleasant and considerate and professional. They clearly explained everything they were doing and why it needed doing. I really couldn't have asked for better.
