I purchased my home in 2022 and have noticed progressive cracks in the walls and bathroom that appear consistent with normal settling. During the recent cold spell, some of these cracks seemed to worsen, and although I suspected this wasn’t a major foundation issue, I wanted a professional assessment to understand how concerned I should be. James came out to evaluate the house, and from the start he took my concerns seriously. I had initially worried that, without a clear foundation failure, my situation might be dismissed—but that was not the case. James spent over an hour thoroughly inspecting the home and walking me through possible causes, what signs to monitor, and practical steps I could take moving forward. His explanations were clear, honest, and never alarmist. In addition to addressing my original concerns, he also evaluated my sump pump system and identified some issues that, while likely unrelated to the cracking, could be improved with a modified setup. I appreciated his thoroughness and willingness to look at the bigger picture of the home’s health. Overall, I was very satisfied with the evaluation and professionalism James provided. I recently had basement waterproofing and some foundation slip jacking done because of flooding from three straight days of rain last fall. Jeremy helped get me going on what I needed to ensure there was no further damage. Devan and his crew took less than 2 days to fully seal my basement, install wall bracers and a new sump pump. I then had Trent and Mike help slip jack and even out several spots around my property and it looks and feels amazing. Everything was explained before it was done and any questions I had were immediately answered. Having foundation cracks, sinking and basement damage was an incredibly stressful event but these guys made it feel easy. Absolutely recommend these guys if you need efficient and quick work done on your foundation!

The Groundworks guys do excellent work. I would definitely have them back for another project. I cringed at the thought of the work they had to do in my cold, wet, muddy, super tight crawl space, but they showed up and got it done quickly without issue. I now have full perimeter drainage, a sump pump, solid discharge and new vapor barrier all installed neatly that works like a charm. My crawl space is finally dry and I can stop stressing about the rain! Initially I wasn’t sure if this project was worth the money, but these guys made it all worthwhile. The reviews were top notch for your company. Blake Shambro was the gentleman I was in contact with and I must say, patient will my 1,000 questions, reliable, quick response, all about the customer, and most of all very communicative. I am very pleased with the concrete lift work completed by Foundation Recovery Systems. Mike and Nick were very friendly and professional as they were explaining step-by-step how the project would be completed. As we did the walk through, they pointed out other areas that would need attention soon in addition to what was outlined in the original contract. I agreed and the additional work was able to be added to the contract for a reasonable added cost with no problem. Although additional work was added to the contract, Mike and Nick were still able to complete the job in 1 day with quality. They consistently asked if I had any questions and answered the questions I had professionally and courteously. They did an excellent job with clean-up which left me nothing to do when the job was completed. I will definitely work with Foundation Recovery Systems again.

Luke and Kaly came out today to lift my concrete and did a fantastic job of getting everything as level as they could. I have a lot of cracked concrete on an 80 year old property that needed leveled and sealed. Mike the initial guy that came out to go over what insurance wanted fixed as well as my concerns worked with me to get an affordable option for the job! They also offer great financing options if needed. I did just the lift portion from them but I'll do do all the filling of the cracks just bc I know how and it saved me money. I have a 3 year warranty where they will come out and measure and check everything once a year and a 5 year warranty on the work itself! This was not the cheapest company I got quotes from but they were the most professional and also had the warranties for the work so that is why I chose them! If you need help with lifting your home or concrete I'd highly recommend Groundworks!!!

Hi, I am an old customer of Select Basement for many years. This is my incredibly happy and satisfied review on the service call by Kenny M. First the backstory. The alarm went off on my battery backup on Wednesday early evening I called Select several times and no one got back to me. I just wanted to know if this was a serious problem. Considering all the rain we were having that week. This was unusual for Select not to return my call in a timely manner from the great service I had received from Select Basement for many years. I explained to the customer service representatives who took my calls who were very professional and tried to help but to no avail no one called me to answer my question. I received a called back Friday morning to set up an appointment for Monday to look at the alarm on the battery backup to the sump pump. I inquired if our annual maintenance check could be performed at the same time and was told yes. Monday morning Kenny called to say “He was on his way”. My appointment was at 8, he arrived 7:45. This was great because I had a 9:00 virtual business meeting. I explained my frustration with Select Basement and merging with Groundworks. Kenny took the time to explain the system changes and how things work now with Groundworks. Kenny proceeded to look at the battery and said it is working properly now. He asked how long we have had it. I said several years he recommend changing the battery, which he did. Kenny also performed the maintenance of flushing the French drain system to make sure that is still working fine. He took several pictures along the way to validate what he was doing. He addressed the dehumidifier that we have, he adjusted it so it would drain into the nearest little french drain hole. Kenny did a great job. He was careful to address all the issues that he thought needed to be addressed. Kenny was very professional and respectful technician leaving no mess behind. Our water has a lot of iron ore, Kenny cleaned the ore around the pump and also offered a recommendation on how to reduce the ore around the pump. He also explained the difference in the service pricing for the warranty offered. I appreciated Kenny taking the time to explain everything that Groundworks now offers to their customers. I know Select Basement and Groundworks merged only a few months back. However, the most important thing is customer service. If I called on Wednesday night thinking I am having an emergency, I should not have to wait for my call to be returned on Friday morning. I text Jason from Select Basement late that evening since no one got back to me right away . Jason responded right away and put my fears to rest and suggested a few options for the alarm shut off that did not work. He said he would pass the issue to the one of the managers. There has to be better response to customer when several calls are made with not even a touch point call back. Thank God by basement was not flooded. Select would have lost a customer.

These were some hard working Men. The work was a little spendy however this crew of people will be with this house throughout the years. The work is also transferable if I sell the house at a later date. Nobody wants to know that their house is settling but if it’s something you’re are going to worry about this is the fix! I would also recommend finding your own finance company.

I really was impressed by the professionalism of Juan, Diego and Jeff., and even John who did our inspection. My crawl space is ONLY two blocks. Very tight fit. Average guy can NOT fit under there. House was built in 1954. Needless to say I have NEVER been under there and at 73 I NEVER will now. The boys did a hell of a job and clean. My gosh, I would even do that good. They even fixed one of our furnace pipes that some how came apart. They seem to have a good time together also. The service contract was WELL worth the money. Needless to say, I highly recommend FSM and if you get a chance ask for Jeff and Juan and Diego. AWESOME JOB BOYS/ Leonard Mueller

The salesman that reviewed our home told us that the work identified by him would fix the symptoms that we were experiencing. When the technicians came out to do the work, the head guy looked at our issues and informed me that the prescribed work would nothing for issues. Thus, he immediately let me cancel the work with the promise of getting our deposit back. That shows me that the company is more interested in having a satisfied customer, than making a profit. Please note their salesmen need to be better trained, so that this kind of situation does not occur in the future.

After they finished our basement look like brand new, smelled great. There was no hint of moisture in the air. I look forward to using the basement for many years to come.
