To be honest in all respects, so you can realize this a real review, I almost ditched this company initially because having left all my details, no-one called back, but at that time, I was requesting a free inspection with a girl in Texas. Since then, they now have a proper setup with Miriam in Edmonton at the office. Kevin, came out at the end of August and we hashed over his pricing and what we wanted done, until we finally arranged a package that I felt I could live with. The next time, if ever, this driveway may need replacement, but their warranty gives me 3 years, and if their work is anything akin to what I had done before, I should get 10 years plus! Caitlyn, Christian & Trevor came a month later (End of Sept) and did a simply put -amazing- job of lifting my sections of cracked concrete with up to 2” of drop, back to as level as possible. This left us with only a minimum of grinding tripping hazard edges. A few days later, Caitlyn came back as part of a 2 person team, to install, tool the seam-seal, and cleanup. I only wish we could have done this a little sooner after agreeing to the contract as the crack sealant is still drying due to our lower Fall temperatures at this time of year! The team was very thorough, never a guffaw if we came out and asked them to redo this spot or another. Great team, great job!Thank you EH

We had AFS come and give us a free quote. (All in all, we got 3 quotes, from 3 different companies. First quote was for $127k, 2nd quote: AFS quoted $58k – inclusive of a 10% off coupon received at time of quote, and 3rd quote: they said they couldn’t handle the job, we need to use AFS.) We had a pretty unique situation, where we were in the process of purchasing the home with the foundation issue, which AFS was kind enough (and patient enough) to make sure it worked out for us at a way later date! Once the day came for the work to start, the team, Alex, Kyre & John, arrived on time and all had a great disposition and enthusiastic attitudes! We were excited to see the process and they explained what they were doing along the way. They were very kind, well-mannered and did a fantastic job! They cleaned all their mess and even reseeded the area in which they dug, (which I wasn’t expecting that). Prior to their arrival, the cracks in our foundation were large enough I could stick my entire hand and arm through to outside! But upon completion, I can’t even fit a chopstick through it! They also encapsulated our entire crawlspace, including mold treatment and sump pumps and dehumidifiers. What was once a muddy crawlspace, that had eroded to the point of lowering FEET over time, with its own ecosystem growing, is now a usable, clean and safe crawlspace. The process is fascinating to watch and the end result is even better! The fact they offer a Lifetime Warranty for their work gives me the security I need to sleep at night, knowing my investment was well placed. So happy we chose AFS and even happier our home is fixed!

We had mold and bouncy floors throughout our home. We wanted to make sure we had a safe environment for the family. We went through numerous contractors to see what was the best option. In this case we did not go with the cheapest option we went with by far the most credible and reputable company with what seems to be true professionals and true tradesmen. From the level of communication from A to Z it was just an amazing experience. We spent well over our expected budget of $24,000 but I had no doubt that this company was the best company to hire. The crew came in, started work immediately and truly showed that they cared throughout the entire installation. It took numerous days but they got it done and I’m very satisfied with the results. The encapsulation only took 3 days & the crew finished up the third evening at 7:00 pm, just in time before Helene came. Our home usually would have flooded during a storm like this, but with Mount Valleys installation of the draining pipes, the water was pumped out successfully. If your building/home is sinking, Groundworks is your solution! My neighbor was getting their building lifted so I decided to get a quote since we are on the same soil. I was very impressed with Cody Wellner who came to give me a quote to just keep 1/4 of my building from sinking any further. He took photos in my crawlspace to show me the cracks that I can't see as well as showed me the cracks on the outside. I asked if I should put support in other parts of my building and he said it isn't needed. Because he didn't try to upsell me which I have felt other companies did try, I felt this company is one I could trust. The whole process was incredibly easy. Groundworks worked with my city to get the permit and once it was approved, scheduled the work quickly. Richard was assigned as the lead for the work. JES installed my sump pump in October 2023. Today (9/25/24) was my annual maintenance appointment to be sure that everything was working well with it. My technician, Ben, contacted me on 9/24/24 to check in with me on any possible issues that he needed to be made aware of prior to my appointment as well as to confirm my appointment. Very professional and polite. Fast forward to the appointment, Ben arrived on time, once again was very professional. I showed him where it was installed so he could get to work. Unbeknownst to both Ben and I, well there was no power going to the sump pump. That was as easy as flipping a switch on the breaker box. Then, Ben noticed a leak in the piping that was installed when the sump pump was installed. Ben ended up having to cut my drywall in which JES will incur the cost to repair it back. But this was nothing he couldn't handle although he did have to make an unexpected run to Home Depot/Lowes to get the tool needed to cut the pipe. Ben returned in a decent amount of time and got right to work. Ben repaired the pipe, cleaned the sump pump bucket, and ensured everything was working correctly. Towards the end of the appointment, Ben made a few recommendations and ending up finding out that the piping that is coming out of the from of my house that pushes the water out was installed incorrectly and was not was I paid for. Therefore, Ben made a call to his supervisor, Megan Hartman, to put her on notice about this issue as well. Ben assured me that someone from the service department would reach out to me to schedule repairs for the piping outside as well as the wall repair. Overall, I would give Ben a 10/10 and would highly recommend him as your service tech. He made sure to answer any questions I had to the best of his ability, remain professional, kept me informed throughout the whole appt, valued me as a paying customer, and advised me that if I had any further questions after this appt that I shouldn't hesitate to reach out to him. Ben was AWESOME‼
